I am an investor in businesses all over the world. I came across Mongo in a Network Marketing Business called Ardyss International. Mongo introduced me to a system that not only taught me how the top money earners do business, but also taught me the importance of duplication and making sure every client I ever work with has the same or more success than I. See for yourself @ TysonParrish.com how I became a successful business owner because I met Mr. Mongo Edwards. I hope you all read this. Have a blessed day! http://TysonParrish.com

It appears from all that I have learned about Rigid Building Systems that they are a fine Company with quality products.  They do have one major problem...that is their marketing strategy.  They called our firm baiting us with potential work if we are "approved" by the Builder Review Committee.  They qualified us enough over the phone to send us a prospectus at a cost of $27.00.  Then an appointment was set to talk to a Mark Steinman after I had reviewed the prospectus.  This is where the marketing ploy is just plain wrong.  His whole pitch was the "take away".  In an economy as we are in at this time, shame on Rigid.  Shame on Scott McRae, the director, for not changing his sales strategy.  I have no problem with the $4950 once I make the decision to become an authorized builder.  It seems all of the emphasis is on getting the $4950 and none on how business is in the community where I build.  It all appears to be a "canned" sales pitch that I could not get Mark to deviate from no matter what.  How real is that?

Why would anybody buy a $5000 authorized buildership.
Just look up the authorized builder in your community
ask them to sell you a building for A slight markup. If
they had been misled by rigid and promised work that
they never got, they would probably be more than happy
to sell you a building for $100 or $200 markup. This would stop
them from selling any more authorized builderships, Scam over.
I think they probably have a fine enough building you just don't
have to pay $5000 upfront. Let's face it they're not going to give you
any work you'll have to find that yourself. If they're like everyone else,
and they are. They will ask you to advertise. What's that tell you?

    j.beau replies to Mike
Hello Mike, don't feel bad there pretty good salesman. Promise you possible
work and lots of help. Then you find out that you have to start advertising,
and then you are spending more money! all the while they're calling other people
just like you in your area to sell them builderships. Use your advertisement dollars
and mention that you would be willing to sell them buildings for a slight markup.
this way they don't have to spend the $4950 and you can still make a dollar.
I think if everyone that already has a buildership, Would do this. Rigid could then
spend more time helping the people they have in the field already. Rather than
being a telemarketer. Then they can sell more buildings, not builderships! is that
    not the business they're in.

I agree with you on the marketing strategy. I signed up with them two years ago
as an authorized builder in my area. I was told they could possibly send some work
my way, this I took with a grain of salt I thought I could possibly stir up some work
through advertisement, and spent a lot of money to only get a couple of calls. Okay fine
bad economy, very little work out there, all justifiable causes. So a couple of weeks back
a company that I've done some work for in the past wants me to put some prices together
on a metal building for them. Great right? This is no small building 3/4 of $1 million.
Then I get a phone call from them asking me if I'm sure that I'm the authorized builder for Rigid
in this area. I said I'm the only one I know about. So I call my District manager and he
beats around the bush, finally saying there's just too much work in our area or one authorized
builder. Wow I was floored are you kidding me, turns out the other authorized builder
is two blocks from my shop. I mean you would think they would at least wait until
there was more work than I could handle. I'm just getting a really sick feeling from this,
I think they need to help the authorized builders that they have already. seems to me that they
are more interested in selling authorized builderships, just really bad taste don't you think?

I just got my initial call and listened to questions.  Obviously I am interested in work and this is a good type of construction for my area.  What is involved or required by Rigid to be an approved builder?   This area will be primarily simple smaller structures for use in agriculture rather than office structures.

Mr. Haims, it is not "odd" for people to be skeptical when a so-called legitimate company (I use that term based on some of the replies from employees probably) uses telemarketers that make promises of work but have ulterior motives.  Our company received a call from Rigid and I spoke with "Ray".  He asked to speak to the President of our company and I explained that he was not available but that I am the Chief Operating Officer and I offered to listen.  He told me that there was commercial work in our area and that he would really prefer to speak to our company president.  I took his number and decided to Google this company.  Google's top two links were for Ripoffreport.com and this site.  What would that tell you, Mr. Haims?  My guess is that you and Mr. Tyson (I've seen his rebuttals on here continuously) are employees of this telemarketing firm.  A legitimate organization would have a website.  If they don't, then there is no real trust on my part and the president of our company does not want to waste his time.  I can tell you that from here on out, I will decline and hang up.  Our company hasn't been around for 80 years being run by idiots - we are intelligent and it's insulting to receive these calls - just my personal opinion.

We got the call last week and it sounded interesting, but not exactly right. I paid the $27 bucks for the book, went through the first interview and asked a bunch of questions, didn't get many straight answers. They set up a second phone interview a couple of days later. I did my homework in between. I found this sight, and called a couple of their certified builders. Both paid the money, went to Texas and took the
course, said the product looked good, the factory was impressive, People were nice. Both had been with them for over a year and neither had sold or installed a building. They both felt the company was ligit, but this certified builder program was a scam to get them thru these tough times. Both said they wasted $5000 plus the airfare, room and meals for the training.
When rigid called me back I was armed with this info. I asked him why there was no dealer locator on their web site ? All the companies we represent have a spot where you enter your zip and it tells you who is in your area. He had no answer for that. I asked him what we get for the $5000 ? He said we get quotes and assistance placing our advertising, we get and area rep that will help us with sales. I said that this stuff is normal support that manufacturers provide to their dealer, they don't charge for it. I asked him if any of this would be denied me if I called on a building project I had on my own. He hesitated and said they do work with outside contractors, and my price might be somewhat higher, but those services would be available.
I explained that We have paid money out to become reps for companies product before. Each time we received back inventory or displays worth twice what we paid. Most times the investment was credited to our first sale, so it cost us nothing. So i said that we would basically get a a small box of literature and a few phone calls for our $5000. He then said that maybe this program was not for us. I aggreed. He then said to call him if I get any good leeds and they would be happy to work with us.

We like the idea of adding steel building to our prouduct line, but this is a borderline scam to raise easy money for this company. I find it hard to beleive that a company this large would stoop so low, but that is what makes it work. My advice-- Say no and seek out a company that wants you and not your money

If you made 30 million dollars in metal building construction that means you could it made 60 million
There are 100s of companies (MANUFACTURERS) where you can buy steel buildings and they do not charge you for a dealership or buildership.

I am a Rigid Global employee. Here is your website. www.rigidbuilding.com Check thee BBB. Thats really the only place that will have legitimate business complaints. Ripoff report put up a bogus complaint and then tried to charge Rigid to remove the complaint for $50,000. That's a real scam. No one promises work in the contractors areas. Only that we have received inquiries. This isn't a scam nor is it for everyone. Rigid understands that. No one forces anybody to pay anything. Do some legitimate research, with legitimate companies. Google will find all kinds of garbage. Try finding reports on Ford, or GM. Some of the biggest, most reputable companies in the world will have so called "scam" and "rip off" reports on them. Anybody on here just assuming its a scam based on the "creepy feeling" they get over the phone is hardly professional which is why Rigid is selective with who they bring on as an Authorized Builder. Keep that in mind and actually see what they have to say instead of hanging up on them do to the creepy feeling.

Businesses can't be taken off call lists, they are not private numbers. If your being called its because you are listed in the phone book dummy.

I received a call from Rigid Global Buildings, and they caught my attention.   Although their telemarketing and dealer search program seems somewhat aggressive, after checking them out they do seem to be what they claim, as one of the "TOP TIER" companies in their industry.   In my investigation, which I am still in the midst of, I have compared RGB to one of their biggest competitors, Butler Steel Buildings, who happen to have a fabrication factory in CA where I am located.   Butler also has a "dealer" program, with numerous dealers in our area, and throughout the country.   In doing my comparison, and in speaking with both companies, they each have their strengths and weaknesses, and depending on your priorities, each prospective dealer would need to weigh in on their opinion.    But like Rigid, Butler charges their dealers for their license to be a Butler Building "authorized dealer", so the up front money should NOT be the basis of your analysis.   Instead, I find that my analysis is more directed towards IF I want to become a dealer at all, or if I would prefer to buy and steel buildings with any company, which gives me the freedom to match the best product based on the project needs.   The fact is that by becoming a Rigid dealer you are taking a position of making this a major part of marketing your company (and future business).   If THIS is the purpose for becoming a dealer, then I would say that Rigid seems to be a "class act" in their industry.   But if you are only occasionally needing an engineered steel building as only one aspect (of perhaps 80 trades)  in your building project(s), then you might be thinking that becoming a dealer might not be the best decision for you, unless you plan on starting a separate division which focuses on bidding Steel Buildings.

All in all, I believe that RGB is a serious competitor in their market, but their initial "telemarketing" and review process is a bit "Timeshare-ish", which would turn most business owners off in the first 5 minutes.

Same calls received here. I'm happy to have found this place. My only comment would be that almost all of the "pro" RGB responses have shown a tremendous lack any knowledge of the English language. That, in of itself, scares me.

Received a call from 'Leanna" who insisted on speaking with the 'owner' of our company. The lady was pushy, so I took her information down. She presented her inquiry very strangely - she firstly went off about one thing, then after I had screened her, she changed her story and told me she was looking for general contractors to build multiple buildings in *long pause* (the name of our town).
This was the no.# she had left with me: (720) 931-2993.

I googled the company name and telphone number and was lead to several negative reviews of their 'establishment'. I would think twice before doing any business with these guys.
