So why did you look up this number? Did you receive one of the doorhangers?
And I'm sure most people would know if they were behind on their mortgage and in danger of being foreclosed upon.

Just because the number belongs to Dovenmuehle doesn't mean they're actually the caller or the one leaving the envelopes/cards. Scammers spoof legitimate numbers all the time.
By the way, if you know who called, why did you come to a phone number look-up site?

    Me
Got a yellow envelope on my door about 2 weeks ago, didn't call the # and don't plan on it.  Don't care who it's from, I know who my home loan is through and I'll work directly with them.

This is Dovenmuehle Mortgage.  Disregard all the nonsense about shadiness and envelopes. If they are calling you then you are likely late on your mortgage. Once you are late, they will begin to call you with reminders each month once you are 10 days late.  And, yes, the collections people are obnoxious. Any time they get you on the phone they will try to get as much information about your finances out of you as they can. However, they don't really need that information unless you are asking for an extension of time to pay or other payment relief of some sort. If for example they call you and you say "Oh I'm sending the payment tomorrow." and they start asking you these questions just maintain the position that you've cleared things up and so the detailed information isn't necessary and you've got things to do.  Another good one is to suggest you can do it later if there are further problems.  Anyway, after about 3 tries they'll give up and let you go.

Someone came to my house this morning. I actually saw the person and he handed me the envelope. He just said, "It's a message from your mortgage company, just give them a call" and he left.

I just got one of these and am in a forbearance plan with my mtg. This lady caught me walking up to my front door and asked for me, then hands the same manilla envelope to me and says she needs to take a pic of my address (like a legit server of legal docs would). Once I read it, I knew it couldn’t be real because of all info LACKING on it. Thank you for sharing this.

Basically the same thing happened to me, the person parked across the street, they drove a dark metallic blue Mitibishi, smaller SUV walked onto my property with their phone recording they got my plate number off my truck, very sketchy, my ring camera caught them. They seem to think that if they don't push that doorbell button the camera wont record, why wouldn't you want to talk to the person if they are home and if this was a legitimate business. My mortgage is not through them. Not sure what their program is but I am turning it over to the financial crimes' unit with my local police and let them investigate and handle them. Mortgage theft is a real thing. they tried to do it to my 83-year-old mother last year. I also have life lock so any attempt to medal or mess with my mortgage I will be alerted.

After my usual business greeting, live American caller asked to speak to a specific employee, using his complete legal name.  Caller said she is calling from the Texas Veterans Land Board.  The fact that she had reached a business organization was reiterated, caller stated she is calling about "personal business."  Caller was informed that the telephone number she used is strictly for the use of this organization.  Caller ID:  Dialer Lead VDN.

    Guy Next Door
Last week, I got a yellow placard left on my front door with messages saying it is VERY IMPORTANT to call the 800 number posted on it (As we all know, it is VERY IMPORTANT to call an 800 number!)

This morning, I saw a guy in a yellow construction vest place another of these on my front door. I hate these companies that use scare tactics to trick people into thinking this is a legit company.
