"Market Research and opinion polls is a self regulated industry" ... that's the problem. You are self-regulated and think that your rights supersede those of us you harass.

Your industry needs the heavy hand of justice and strong regulations reflecting the will of the people. Clearly your conduct to date indicates that you cannot be trusted to continue to regulate yourselves.

"[W]e subscribe to the highest standards and dealings with the public" ... and who wrote those standards? You. So of course you can say that you do this, but it does not reflect what _should be_ proper practice.

This thread shows you that people do not appreciate your conduct. Your arrogance has made you short sighted that many of the people you bother are business people who will exclude you from business opportunities as a result of your conduct.

There will come a day when you will be called to task and an auditor's report will show your self regulation was no better than a 6-year old being allowed to re-write the rules of Monopoly so he could win against his sister. Far better for you to shape up now, or go [hopefully] out of business.

My mom got a scam call that gave her this number as Betty Crocker and said she had won a huge cash prize if she would  just pay the "game taxes".

I just got a call from this number, I did not pick up however I did call back which may be just as bad. I didn't do anything to get removed from their list but I am thinking I may do that later.

They have called my # several times and I want to be removed. I have called and followed the instructions. I will see know what happens

This number came up unknown name on my cell phone.

Got a call and e-mail from a representative from the company today who assured me that the scammer just gave out their number and they have nothing to do with the call.  He evidently gave my mom a false cell phone number as well.

Came up today and I missed it, check it out here and voila, autodialer making it's rounds and hitting me. Good thing I did not answer, it hangs up after like 5 rings. Short call time.

Received a call this morning - annoyed! Unknown so let it go to voicemail, no message. Would like to call to ask to be removed but worried that will only confirm a working cell number... Has it worked for anyone else?

keep getting this crap on my cell phone and am sick of it!  have heard this is a scam to get our info and sell to other scam companies. They need to be dealt with by the CRTC & RCMP!

they just called an EMERGENCY ONLY cell phone . . Not Good.

unbelievable  - lesson learned - I will no longer answer calls from an 800 number.  Totally unfair for legit companies.

Just called them at 1-888-323-3651 and they gladly removed my number.  I'll give them a few days to see if it's true.  She told me they 'randomly generated' numbers and thats how they got my number (as if that's believable).  In any case, it seems they are honoring the do-not-call list when you contact them.  Also you can goto, http://www.surveysampler.com/Do-Not-Call.htm but I prefer the phone call b/c you dont have to put more info in.

I just got a call, made the mistake of answering it, called and had them add my number to the exclusion list, however was still upset about this!!

They offered to reimburse the call, but they wanted my name and address to send a check??!
As if i would give any other information!!!

I got a call from this number on my employer's mobile. We are with Telus. I don't know how they got this number, since I have this phone for 3 weeks only!

Ahh funny! The majority of Scams I received were from the ROC!
