The robot voice has Claimed that someone had gotten my SIN number and possibly my credit card numbers ?
Such bull... how do I block my number from all these scams?? Seriously I get more bs calls from all over the world then actual phone calls from people I know 🤯  I’ve had this number for 10+yrs and only the past 2yrs I’ve had constant harassment from these scam companies/ people

Yep, Telus and the other main landline and mobile phone providers could stop 99% of scammers with no problem. Like you say, as long as they get paid, it will continue. I wonder who allowed them (Scammers) access to all the cellular customers in the first place. Bad enough to be interrupted at home, ( and business ) land lines, but now with mobiles, like when you are driving (it’s a distraction even if you ignore it) or in a meeting or at an appointment. It not only is annoying, distracting, and time wasting, it’s also cost the consumer money. On top of that, if you get numerous calls, and at any time of the day or night, it can be disturbing.  It’s time for our so called government (S) to stand up and change the law. NO MORE TELEPHONE MARKETING. It is an invasion of our privacy as citizens and our right to live a peaceful existence. 😡

This number called my mobile-phone at 15:36 Pacific today -- just one ring before the call ended.
It's surprising to see FORTY pages of comments on this site, querying this number.

Answered phone and waited until someone would say something and after about 20 seconds the caller hung up.

Believe this was a survey regarding whether the household was a cell only or landline use. I looked up the caller credentials and they are a communications company. Stating that they were not selling or marketing anything, yet if you go to their site they are defined as a 'Communications-marketing' company. Take it for what you will. I declined to answer.

Received a call from this number, I do not answer unknown numbers and if they do not have the curtesy  to leave a message, they get blocked. My phone, my rules

Called my cellphone, didn’t answer and no message left.

Were you with Fido ? Same happened to me 4 days after switching to them with a new number that I never gave out to anyone....
