This is the appeared on my caller ID -804-767-7161. The message ask that I call 1-800-672-3809  Windows Security regarding a problem with my computer. I didn't call back either number,

No clue who this is!!! Said he is a officer with windows about activity on my computer!!! Scam if you ask me!!

Received same message on my answering machine about an hour ago...Called my son and he told me it was a scam not to call back!

They told me that the computer was being used in a cyber hacking, told him computer is crashed he told me police will come to my house anytime... He hung up after I called him a liar.

A voice mail from a robot caller stated that a possibility of a cyper crime and this is my final warning that they are going to block my IP address permanently and that I must call 1800-672-3809 to prevent this from happening. I have called the number and the man didn't have a cue what's going on so I told him about the voice mail. He said, may I have your phone number and I gave it to him. Then he ask for my name and I said you should already have it in your system. He said, yes, I have it on the system but give me your name. I said no, I don't know you so, I hung up. I called the police and the advise me to call my internet provider. So, I called my internet provider. They said, everything is ok and that cyber security caller was a scam and I should not call them again and never give them my information.

I received a telephone call from "Windows Security" from Officer Charlie Williams that my computer was involved in a cyber security attack.  He said I was suppose to call 800-672-3809.  I did NOT!  I checked on line first.  SCAM

I keep getting this call, they said my service would be terminated. Is this a scam?

The same message, internet termination. Why are they treating people?

Yes it is a scam.  Common tech scam.  Originates in India and Pakistan.  Ignore and block the number.

Same info about Windows officer with possible Cyber Security issue. Call originated in Richmond, VA (804)767-7161. Don't call them back. SCAM !

Same Call about saying they were windows security and my computer ws being used for hacking.. Knew it was a scam and didn't call back.

I also got a call trying to accuse me of illegal cyber activity, said my computer would be shut down if I did not call 1 800 672 3809. I did not fall for the scam!

My sister fell for it and they want money and will put virus on your computer and will l hold your computer for ransom and you will  loose all things.  It must be reset to factory.. There is a special place in HELL for this people.

I also received this vm msg from 800-672-3809, saying my computer would be shut down unless I called them back. Did not call

It's a scam. My mom gave them access and they locked and encrypted her laptop. Fortunately, being an IT guy I recovered her docs but had to go back to factory image.

Received a call today from an Officer Charlie Williams from Windows Security saying that if I don't call back ASAP they are going to block and lock my account. The voice was totally automated robot like. The number that showed up on my caller ID is: 1-337-573-0055. It also said that there is error and suspicious activity that has been tracked for the past 2 weeks. Microsoft Windows will never call you! If you are having problems you have to call them! Total Scam!!!

Recieved a voicemail from Ofc Charlie Williams from Windows security headquarters of cyber crime. Reporting our computer had errors last 2 weeks. They must block ur computer IP address permanent. Time sensitive. Call asap.
