Windows has "officers" in the security department? I guess nobody's ever accused scammers of being rocket scientists. Officer Charlie Williams is a real knee slapper. That's a dreadfully stupid pitch, too funny to take seriously.

I was told to call back 1-877-205-3793 or my computer would be shut down. The caller said he was Charlie Williams from Windows and he would block my IP address if I didn't call back. I did call back and got an answering machine. I did not leave my return call- back number. The call was from 1-855-55025522417.

Officer Charlie Williams called using 800 218 0529 with the same scam.  Threatened to shut down my computer because it is being used in cyber attacks.  Wanted me to open up Event Viewer

Got the same call. Have gotten it every day for a week. They call from different numbers. They also provide different numbers for you to call back. Scam scam scam. I let him have it, told him I didn't have a Windows computer, and told him where he should go on his next vacation. He started cussing at me and I hung up.

Received call from charles williams from window security headquarters. Said there was a problem with ip call back 866-2071249 or my ip would be blown up. This moron uses same name on all of his scam tactics.

Off Charlie Williams from Windows Security Hdqtrs called to say they've been receiving continuous errors and warning messages for 2 weeks  Said they will close my IP address if I don't contact them at 888-503-2917 about this; also threatened legal action if I don't call.

Computer generated voice named Charlie Wilson (“Officer” Charlie Wilson from “Windows Security”).  Threatening legal action if I don’t call back.  Called from 888-503-2917.
At tthe end of said threatening message says says “Good Luck”! Pretty funny since I don’t even have a computer hooked up in the house.     Scam, scam, scam.

Got the same message from officer Charlie Williams and I looked it up on internet and found out it’s a scam.

Received call from Ofc. Williams. I read previous posts. This is a scam call. I called my internet provider and everything is ok
There was a new number provided 800 270 7432. So just be aware.
