I called number back and a recording answers with "If you are calling this number you have just received a political call. The purpose of the call was to inform you of local and national issues that may affect you....." or something close to that. Added to reject calls.

Got a call from this number. Female voice on answering machine, "Hello.... really." than hung up.

Just got a call no message left on the machine.

got a call about an hour ago.  i didn't answer, i never answer calls from unknown numbers.  woman's voice on my answering machine asked for me by my name, she said my name several times as if she thought that i had answered the phone but was not speaking to her.  another one to add to blocked callers.

They said "Uugh!" and hung up when answering machine kicked in.  The FCC no longer takes complaints regarding the phone scammers who robodial your number then neither leave any message nor talk.  Worse yet, some states such as NJ, no longer take complaints about DNC violations and the robo-rectums know that thus our elected legislators have given them a blessing to continue annoying us.  So, to make it even worse, the phone provider profits by providing service to the scammers and won’t shut them down as it would be lost income for that phone provider who also know the robo-terrorists are out there just by monitoring the bandwidth they utilize.  And the phone provider’s even make additional money (via charges for opening new services) by switching the roboterrorists outgoing lines so a complaint about any particular number would be meaningless once the roboscum feel it’s time to spoof another number du-jour.  Folks, it’s high time to fight back – contact your phone service provider and request to make your number a toll number for incoming calls from any “Out of the Area”, “Unavailable”, 800, 844, 866 or 888 numbers, so when robocallers attack your privacy then they must pay you for your valuable time.  And for paybacks – identify the roboscum and supply their mailing address to every junk mailing firm possible as there are lots of postcards in magazines.

Contact your legislators to stop the robocallers – send them a complaint every time you get a call.  Tell them to stop the scumbags or you will elect someone who will!  And why not sue the phone providers for their inaction to pull the plug on these phone terrorists as well?  A fantastic class action suit awaits a great attorney team on this one, because it appears that neither Federal nor State authorities give a damn to protect us and openly permit the phone companies to continually profit from your life being interrupted.  I use a Panasonic KX-TG6844 phone that can block 250 numbers. The cost of $111 pays for itself if you use Verizon’s Call Intercept service (a $9.99 per month ransom plus federal and local taxes) in a year and you can drop the Verizon intercept service.

Contact the Consumer Union (Consumer Reports) site www.EndRobocalls.org and sign their petition to pressure the phone companies and lobby the government. It won’t cost you a cent!  BTW, recent news articles (early July 2015) indicate Verizon is going to screw us more during their attempt to deregulate communications services and fees which could cost us more by buying into their anonymous call intercept useless service, etc.

Alternately, obtain a call blocking app, service or device ... and NOT rely on the rest of your rant!  Self-reliance ... what a wonderful idea!

Simply put: they can go Phück themselves.

7/22/15 9:59 PDT  Have been going around in circles with several companies for past week or more and wasn't sure this wasn't one of them so answered after a couple of rings.  No one responded after several seconds so I hung up on them.  No idea or care who this is or what they want.  Just incredibly fed up.

Got call today, no message. blocking

I auto route all these calls to a "Number Disconnected" message and some of them, like 8006849641 keeps calling again and again and again. Gives you an idea of how intelligent these bottom feeders really are.

I answered the phone and the caller asked for me by name.  I said "Who are you".  He said he was calling for an Iran free of nuclear weapons.  I told him not to call again and hung up.  Then I blocked the number.

Police dept is answering this harrassing caller.  They hung up on P D immediately but were traced.

I just received this call talking about a nuclear free Iran.  I blocked them.

The DNC is a complete joke. These companies laugh at the DNC list. Received call from this # this morning, no message when machine kicked in. Just another # for me to block. My call blocker has been getting some workout lately...
