Call Blocking Apps only work on cell phones not landlines!!  Duh

Unfortunately the FTC has a hard time tracking some of these numbers because they are not legit numbers.  So the scammers are free to abuse.  It's ridiculous that in this day in age and technology the FTC can't shut down these people. I believe they have the ability to take care of it, they are just making excuses.  If these scammers were international terrorist you better believe they could retrace it.  FTC lies!  Regardless, phone company's should offer free unlisted phone numbers to customers.  Why should we have to pay to have our phone number unlisted?  My mother has an unlisted landline and doesn't get robocalls.  I have a listed landline number and I get them on a daily basis for the last 6-8 years even though my # is on DNC.  Verizon only allows me to block 100 numbers on my landline.  I've already reached that threshold and can no longer block without deleting some. Ridiculous for the amount of money I pay them each month.  Verizon FiOs is a failure at protecting its customers from harassment.  DNC list is a failure and a joke.  FTC is a failure especially considering all the taxes they collect from us on our phone bills.

Repeat call 10:20 a.m. on 8/19/15. I will block the number. I am tired of spam robocalls. Having an unlisted number does not help.

I agree with Burlco48, 100% I have signed the petition! Everyday I must get 5-10 scam calls. If these people can spoof phone numbers then we should have the ability to track these idiots!  I have contacted my states attorney office and reported these calls.  I am going to make a list of each call and each scam they are trying to pull and send it every time I get another scammer call which I am sure will be everyday.  This needs to stop!  These people are criminals!!!  Suppose you have an elderly family member at home with dementia who doesn't understand that these "people" are criminals and they scam one of your family members.  If they idiots were not making money then this would stop and it's not. I guess someone higher up needs to get scammed in order to have something done.

Called once yesterday but only rang once. Called back today & answering machine kicked in. Male caller saying hello over & over again. Just blocked  the #.

Got call from this number and they asked for a certain person or more like a guess as to what my name was as they got 1 name right but not my whole name. I said no one here by that name and hung up

Looked at another site and this call number is registered to a person who calls for donations for money for ?political? reasons? ...but seems fishy they do not know my name

The caller, UNAVAILABLE ( displayed as ID on our phone. ) called us again @ 12:54 noon. We opted not to answer any unwanted call or number.
I returned the call hiding our number, a male message:" If you call  this number about the call you just received is following the" Do not call "  , this call just inform you our political issues."
Yes, according www.800notes.com , the caller started to use this 800-684-9641 around 07.11.2015 & called hundreds people about Iran Treaty.

Unwanted phone calls numerous times of the day.

Caller ID helps as people I know have their names appear so I know who is calling and if I want to answer.I do not answer any unknown caller, Also, I have my known callers call my cell if I do not answer and that means only family and very close friends. I have the ringtone turned off so I am never bothered but can see a light on the phone if convenient. I check the number that calls on the internet and never have I missed any important caller.

this number was one of 4 calls within 20 minutes,one after another.No messages left for any of those calls.

They call every day ...........Stops this crap do something us government instead of calling me asking for donations to the elections

I returned the call hiding my number, again a male message : " If you called this number for the call you just received, we don't follow  " Do not call rule", we just inform you the federal & state political issues directly affect you" One can't leave message about " Do not call " .According one report to www.800notes.com that this number belong to RealEstate2Mobils,,3146 Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL.33607.

Yes, you are correct.  I think it's time to turn the NSA loose on these types of calls.  They have the technology.  I have long suggested that autodialers be outlawed or licensed.  Catch the call centers.  I think the NSA have the technology to detect the source of outgoing calls that are 1000s per day from one number.  We also need to have a treaty with India to do the same thing there to get rid of the pharmacy and software virus scammers.  I thought that a class action lawsuit might get CONGRESS to take notice that there is a very unhappy MAJORITY of people are have just had ENOUGH.  It's time to marry the FTC and FCC to the NSA.  Let's put technology to use to fight these BLEEPERS and put them in JAIL, take all the ill-gotten profit, and provide a lifetime ban on ANY use of telecommunications business.

if by hiding your number you mean using *67, it doesn't work on calls to emergency services phone numbers or toll free (800) calls.

Party activated my personally owned communication device (telephone), located in a non-business (private) residence, and on private property.  My Caller ID showed ''incomplete and/or unrecognized info", therefore call was forwarded to my device's Voice Mail.  My Voice Mail recording then prompted the calling party to state the purpose of their activation/alarm (4-rings) of my device/phone.  Caller would not comply.  Trespassing, Disturbing The Peace, Theft, are a few of the laws broken by this caller, IMO.
