So, it's Hunter Warfield, a bottom feeding debt collection company, who's calling on behalf of Comenity Bank. They're calling about my HSN card. I've already spoken with Comenity, and set up payment arrangements. However, a man who barely, and I mean barely speaks English left a rude, threatening message on my voicemail, didn't identify that he was a debt collector, and failed to state what the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) requires them to state (this is federal law). The FDCPA states that a debt collector is breaking that law if it fails to disclose, in its initial communication with the consumer (which could be in writing or orally) “that the debt collector is attempting to collect a debt and that any information obtained will be used for that purpose.” In addition, in subsequent communications, the debt collector must disclose that the communication is from a debt collector.  However, every single time Hunter Warfield has called, they've failed to identify themselves in their messages. I've not received one piece of written communication from them either. As I've already set up payment arrangements, I'm planning on pursuing Hunter Warfield legally, as I have 9 messages in which they've broken the law. Total bottom feeding scumbags who farm out their business to people who literally speak no English.

Called from “Unknown” number (nice try). Identified herself as “Miss Burgess” and said that I or an attorney needed to call her back and gave this number. Gave vague threat of “my matter” being “escalated further” but didn’t give any other information. Wouldn’t say who she was working for, but I’m 99% sure it’s Comenity Bank.

IF I still owe them anything, they can send it to me in writing with an offer on monthly payments or sell it to a third party. I’m NOT talking to them on the phone, because they are shady.
