- WP Scamline| 2 repliesRecording says "This is not a sales call. Please call WorldPerks Visa immediately regarding your account." When you call the number they give you, 1-800-695-9872, they tell you to put in your 16 digit account number and the last four of your Social Security Number. The recording rejects the last four digits of your Social Security Number, so apparently they are just after your account number.
- Steve NorfolkYes, I got one of those calls as well. When you call the number back, they do not identify themselves -- just ask for the 16 digit account number. 0# doesn't work, and there is no option to speak to a LIVE body. I tried calling back again today, same thing.
With all the identity theft going on, I'll be darned if I give sensitive information to a machine!- Caller: WorldBank?
- CS NoVA| 2 repliesI got a similar call. An recording gave a company name that I didn't recognize and stated that I should call 1-800-695-9872 about an urgent financial matter. I called the number, a recording did not identify the name of the company but asked for my 16 digit account number.

- JO| 1 replySCAM SCAM SCAM .....I received a private call. A person with a British accent said this is not a sales call, but a personal matter with World Financial and left a call back number. I don't have an account with World Financial, but called anyway b/c I was concerned about identify theft. When I called back
the recording prompts you to choose one for English and 2 for Spanish. After choosing the prompt it asked for my 16 digit account number over and over again because I didn't have a number to input. I thought it would eventually loop me a customer service representative. However, this didn't happen and won't. This is a SCAM to get your account number and last four digits of your social sercurity number. - jda replies to JOjust got a phone call from a hooker with a british accent attempting to get information.
Nothing pisses me off more than getting these calls in the age of identity theft.
Where is our great FTC, Attorney General and any other public coffer leach when it comes to this crap.

- ajust got this call as well. i tried to hit 0, *, or # to get to customer service, but to no avail. All it does is ask for your 16 digit account number.
- Annoyed One| 1 replyWow! Am I ever glad I googled this number and found this site. I called back, British lady recording asked me to enter a 16 digit number, didn't, of course, and hung up. I was worried that I'd overlooked some financial obligation, though I couldn't imagine how or why--now I know! I would have wasted an hour going through bills trying to figure out what the devil I did wrong.
- Caller: World Financial something
