- Brenda replies to Michael| 1 replyHow did they charge your card or took it from your bank without your bank info?
- Diana replies to BruceInteresting! I have a free government sponsored Assurance Wireless phone, and I received a message from this number saying "Make sure you don't lose your Assurance Wireless service! Call today to recertify!" "That's weird," I thought, "Before they always sent me a form to fill out." But I called their number, and had to listen to multiple sales pitches for Direct TV, Verizon Internet, etc. It wasn't until the chirpy recorded voice asked, "Do you want to meet singles in your area?!" that I thought, "Wait, no, this can't be right. Uncle Sam could give a rat's behind about my love life." So whoever's behind this has co-opted a whole lot of legitimate services, and swiped a whole lot of people's cell phone numbers.

- Laurie SwensonI got this number (I didn't call it) during a call I made to roadside assistance. The call featured three different telemarketing things (get a free medic alert, get a roadside assistance plan (funny since that was what I was calling), and some sort of suicide help line. and then it says your call cannot be completed at this time and directs me to call the number. I called my insurance company and they said to try the number with 1 in front of it, and that worked. Cell phones don't need to use the 1, so why on earth would a telemarketing company somehow get in on a legitimate number to another place? This is the first I'm hearing of this.
- Caller: N/A
- New HomeownerI got a fake home warranty bill that told me to call another number, which referred me to this number. Both numbers and the bill were a scam — it’s a good thing the scammers were too cheap to set up a proper call center!

- Geneb"Medical Alert" device scam. It happened when I tried to call Tivo's number, 877-376-8486.

- Shawn| 2 repliesGoogled liberty mutual. Tapped the phone number listed. Heard the regular liberty mutual recording for new policy or current policy holder, tapped 2. These asshats answer the phone telling me they are with liberty mutual insurance and there is a promo running right now for a $100 gift card. They just had to confirm some info. I thought it was liberty mutual because I called them on the number google gave me. Somehow they are intercepting calls and scamming people.
- Caller: I called liberty mutual, they intercepted the call

- Tygerkat replies to ShawnWell, that's odd. I Googled Liberty Mutual & got a completely different phone number. In fact, the very first thing that came up was the Liberty Mutual website. So where did you find this number?

This is why God gave us something between our ears called a brain! If you use this brain you would know that Google is neither a sentient being nor omnipotent. My guess is that you clicked on a link that said the word "ad" somewhere around it instead of going to the actual website. Your fault not Google's.Quote:I thought it was liberty mutual because I called them on the number google gave me. - Jo Hunt800-722-6600, 800-410-1660, 800-344-3232- supposedly selling medical alert systems think scam. If they try to charge me for anything Iwill report to BBB and law enforcement.

- NOT Brandy| 1 replyI started getting texts about 2 weeks ago calling me Brandy Mccaster which I am decidedly NOT. They txt twice per day seemingly from two different lines. I txt Stop and it says I have been opted out but the next day it begins anew. I called the help line and, as others have noted it's a series of sales pitches. Press # until you get a recorded voice asking what you are looking for. Ask to opt out they ask which company but they don't recognize the txt headers of GRN or AHRA. Gives you a number to call for further assistance but it brings you to the same recording sans sales pitches. Again offers you the SAME number to call for help ad nauseum ad infinitum. VERY annoying.
- Caller: GRN and/or AHRA
