Received email saying ADT customers can call 800-724-9118 to have security system updated. Caller asks for Account # & Passcode to our house!! We did not give info! We believe it's a scam! Beware!!!

I received a voicemail from 800 793 9118 stating they were a debt collector. Sounded like BS, so I googled and came here. Looks like a scam.

Same scam seems to be the gift that keeps giving.  Received a card to schedule my appointment at MyADTwww.myadt.com/3gconversion.  Maybe it is legit, maybe not.  But it is always safest to actually go to the official website and call the number there.  Too many experiences with scams with this phone number

Called 800-724-9118 to set an appointment date and time. They asked for address and password. They gave me a time and date for when technician will arrive to do the system conversion update. The next day, no one showed up. Not only am I going to call ADT but I'm reporting this to the Better Business Bureau as well. Be ware of this scam!!!

I received several of these emails. I finally called ADT using phone number I already had... same number found on the WEB. The representative said they had been sending out emails because the 3G touchpad had to be replaced by a 4G touchpad, but because my account says DYI, she would just send out the new equipment to me. She then checked my account and found that I had already been upgraded 4 months ago... she also told me a different specialized phone number had been used on the emails so they could track the conversions.
