"Report a lost or stolen credit card - Sign in to Online Banking and follow the instructions or call: 800.732.9194".
Returning the call connects you to an automated system. It begins by asking you for the last four digits of your account number or SS number and continues from there.

The actual purpose of the call was unknown.

Received call from this number.
Caller ID says Bank of America.
Neither of us has a Bank of America account.
Bank of America did try to recruit me about a year ago.
So I answered.
There was nobody on the other end.
I hit redial and the recorded message said it was Bank of America but they need an account number or SSN to speak with me.  I hit zero but it kept repeating. Obviously I am not giving my SSN, and there is no account number.  I don't think this is really Bank of America.

A Telemarketing Co ROBO call -- avoid! --BTW the has nothing to due with B of A.

Called cell at 7:13 AM(!), unknown CID.  I see from other posts this is a legitimate B of A number.  I have B of A accounts, but I never gave them this number for contact.  Scam.

Do NOT “dance” (or answer) this number regardless of B of A showing on ans. machine

Called my landline within lats 15 min.
FRAUDULENT ROBOCALL from from "Rachel" at "Card Member Services" claiming they were willing to lower my credit card interest rates...

The REAL Owner of this number is BANK OF AMERICA (BofA)...
Called BofA spoke to rep in CRIMES/FRAUD DEPT who indicated they are aware of LOTS SCAM CALLS with this SPOOFED NUMBER over last few days and NOT TO PROVIDE THE SCAMMERS ANY INFORMATION!.

Call went to voice mail - no message was left

Caller ID is Bank of America. No message left. Unfortunately  for the scammer I don't bank with BOA.

Caller ID: TOLL FREE CALL.

This number called the office today. The robcocall at first sounded like it was coming from Bank of America before it continued with a spiel about qualifying for a zero percent interest rate if we'd press one to speak to the qualification department.

It appears people are getting the same call from both 800-789-6701 and 800-340-3922.

The dnc does not work. This number is spam. I block these numbers and they call from a different number

Of course the DNC registry works. You don't get calls from legitimate telemarkters, do you? Or are you one of those people who signed up for it without bothering to read what it actually does and doesn't do? Hint: it's not a call blocker so it can't prevent you from receiving scam calls.

Called several times over the last two days.  No messages left.

Ever heard of spoofing the number??  THIS IS A SCAM!  It may be a good number for BOA but that doesn't mean BOA is the one calling!  Wake up!  If you called and this number returned it, it might actually be from BOA but if you didn't call them, IT'S SPOOFING BOA'S NUMBER!!

Credit card interest ROBOSCUM SCAMMERS that call MULTIPLE TIMES WEEKLY! I have NO CREDIT CARD INTEREST, NEVER DID, NEVER WILL!! ROBOSCUM says my credit card was eligible for an interest rate reduction, but that if I didn't respond, my card would be cancelled. CID: BANKOFAMERICA.  Never have done business with these CRIMINALS, NEVER WILL.

Right. Because a credit card company would really cancel someone's card if they didn't take advantage of a special offer. Stupid scammers.
