Just now called me back for the second time. This time they hung up after the first ring before I could answer.

In my case i wanted to tell them that i didnt get my new card and thelines were busy so i asked for a call back.

did not know if it was BOA that is who they said they were

Is this a real question?
Aside from the fact that a fraud claim with BofA can be filed online and they will follow up with a call...
Why would you stay waiting on hold on their customer service line if they provide an option to call you back?

The real question should be why would someone come here to try reassuring others the "callback" is legitimate if they were expecting it and why would a recipient of a legitimate call bother to come here? People who are expecting a callback wouldn't be searching the internet after they got the call, would they?
The point of making a report here is to warn people about unknown/unwanted calls and that certainly doesn't qualify as either one. Scammers are spoofing banking numbers daily and you can never be sure who is on the other end. People who are not sure their caller was legit come to find out and people who got a legit call they expected...don't !

Never trust a caller to be who they claim, always call from an official number to verify if they did call.

Scam call claimed to be BofA and they speak Chinese to you saying something wrong with your account.  I mean...who will still fall for this kind of scam nowadays...if you did, you deserved to be scammed

Got a call from this with caller id saying BOA. But never had an account for BOA and the call was in robo chinese.

Just got a call from this number to my cellphone. Picked up but stayed silent. The other side was also silent. Gave it a few seconds and then hung up.

800 732 9194. Is not a number to trust. I just called my Bank. Told her about this number. She said several customers have been bothered also by this number. It is fraud scammers. I will block. Never answer unknown numbers

Got a call from this number, they started speaking in some foreign language, sounded oriental. Hung up. I’ve gotten other calls like this.

Used Google Screen Call and the transcript read: "Grumpy cat your eyeballs f*** you get hurt in prison" then they hung up. Pretty sure BofA wouldn't actually say that...

This is a fraudulent scam phone number! They said B of A in English then the rest was in Chinese. Block this number. Will be replaying the voicemail they left for laughs but that's about it.

They just called me (12/20, 1:48p).  They were speaking in Chinese only, but said Bank of America in English.  Very weird call.  I just went ahead and pressed one.  It rang and a Chinese guy answered speaking only in Chinese.  SCAMMING Jerks.

Left a voicemail in Chinese, asking to press '5'. It is sad to see that some Chinese scammers are trying to scam Chinese speaking people. I don't bank with BofA, so I just blocked it.
