Spammer?  Scammer?  It's a suspicious call.

Suspicious?  Sort of like you spamming the thread under the screen names Jr. and Dre?

I find it interesting that you only chose to print part of that plagiarized, copyrighted article.  Why is that and why should we believe a criminal-yes, plagiarizing material is a crime.  The true story is that they simply recoup their expenses for collecting and processing the blood at no profit.  Common sense would tell you that they would not be able to stay afloat otherwise.  This was a real hatchet piece done by a college student who chose a title to throw off what was really in it.  https://otenews.com/blood-donors-arent-gettin ... -is-being-sold/

I got a call from 800-733-2767.  I didn't recognize the number, there was no caller id, so I didn't answer.  No message was left, so the caller wanted to be anonymous.  This repeats the myriads of scam calls I have received.  My advice - Beware.

Good thing other people have answered the call and now we know that it really isn't a scam call as it is the Red Cross looking for blood donations.

Then you think that the American Red Cross is a scammer because they are looking for blood donations?

2 unsolicited calls.  If I didn't answer the first call, why make a second call?  No message either time.  (No message saying why they called.  No message reminding me of anything.  No message announcing anything.  So, I can only assume a scammer.)  Maybe this number has been spoofed, as it is certainly acting like some one trying to run a scam.

The number traces back to the American Red Cross.  They could be looking for money or blood donations.  The number could also be spoofed.  I guess we will never know because everyone is scared to death to answer the call and find out since it is much easier to run for the hills screaming "Scam!".

They called on Easter Sunday! That is asinine. I'm giving at the community blood bank or connect life from now on and I'm blocking this number.

After I got a call from 800-733-2767, I couldn't get my iPhone to delete the call or to block the number. It's like that number took over that function on my phone. What can I do?

Well, you could hope and pray that someone might stop by and tell you what you need to know and also that they are telling you the truth or you could call your phone company's tech support and ask them.  I hope you make the right choice!

Text message that was supposedly from the Red Cross concerning donating blood gave this number to call back.  It's a scam to get you to call a marketing research firm.

I received a call from on my cell phone from this number on 09/19/2023 at 1152 PDT. They left the following transcribed voicemail:

Hello this is your American Red Cross calling to invite you to make your next blood donation. We will try to reach you at another time or you can contact us at 1-800-733-2767.

This seems is American Red Cross.
