    Annoyed
They left a message that they were calling from PG&E to remind me of a scheduled appointment that I should be available, I made no such appointment. I always let unrecognizable numbers go to voicemail so I can determine whether it’s from a legit caller then block the caller when necessary.

I answered the phone to dead air.  No one spoke on the other end.

Kind of odd for PG&E to call at 6:30 in the evening.  Suspect one of the frauds others have mentioned above, hiding behind PG&E phone number.

No fair!  I was only given 30 minutes to pay an undisclosed amount of money to avoid having my service cut off.  I was told that I had received 2 notices (I didn’t), and that I could not pay on-line,  My account is autopay and I have never missed a payment.  When I told the caller that I didn’t buy it, she rudely responded that technicians would arrive in 30 minutes then to cut off my service.  I guess they got lost.

No it is not pg&e, it is phishing.  Hang up immediately and block these calls.  They are fake, and its an attempt to extort money.

Got a call from this number with a machine message stating that PG&E will shut off our services in 30 minutes because our bills are past due and to call 877-556-1100 to take care of it. Well 45 minutes later we're still operating.

Did some research and found this scam warning on PG&E's website:

    https://www.pge.com/en_US/residential/customer-service/help/scams/scams.page

There's also a PG&E number to call if you think a  PG&E call is suspicious (see link).

    I didn't bother calling the 877 number shouldn't either.

Learn about caller identification (ID) scams
PG&E customers report telephone scams with calls that show PG&E on the caller ID 1-800-743-5000. Or, the caller may falsely claim to represent PG&E.
Some of the fraudulent calls have included:
Telling customers they owe past-due balances or are eligible for a federal tax refund
Trying to sell a service such as a solar evaluation
Claiming a power shutoff is imminent and asking for personal information to determine if customer’s address will be impacted
Claiming to represent a PG&E initiative so they can sell a product or gain entrance to your home
Be aware that scammers can disguise their true phone numbers or simply claim to be from PG&E. PG&E is not making these calls.
WE NEVER ASK FOR YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. False financial requests like this should be treated as scams.
The PG&E Corporate Security Department and the authorities are investigating all reported scams.

Correct CID for PG&E but the idiots are calling Florida- received many calls knowing it was bogus so I answered- obviously a “boiler room”, heavy accent and sounded like 30 people talking in background. Said he was with Information Technology-  I just told him no money or information will be provided and remove this number. Hopefully it works.

The call I received was sent to my vmail. Only half the message was recorded. In my experience, that's typical of scammer calls. Their technology seems to be about as stupid as they are. It was a robo call threatening to disconnect one of my services. It left no phone number to call them back. Stupid, but then again I'm talking about a scumball criminal here. Since others on this website have found the phone number to be legitimate, then it's pretty obvious this scammer is spoofing a legitimate PG&E number. I blocked the number. Duh!
