I received a phone call on 1/28 from this number. The guy said his name was George Brown and that he was with Explore Talent and he left an ext. (5034). The number showed up unknown on my caller id. Everytime I call it back though, it says call cannot be completed as dial please chk no. or contact your cust. service center for assistant. Then there is a computer generated voice that says, "D E N R D D". I think that this is bogus.

i'm guessing this is a HUGE scam. i got a call from a lady name Jeorge Brown. She said i uploaded a profile. I actually did and my friend did too. The place that we uploaded the profiles on called her first and left a number.

when i answered the phone the jeorge lady gave me 8007638303. it's COMPLETELY different from the one that my friend got.

this is so creepy. they all had thick accents. this could be like a murder train they're trying to set up.

I recieved a call from a guy with an accent named Fredrick. The number showed up as "unknown" on my cell and he told me to call him back at 1-800-763-8303 and he was asking for my mom and he said I had been accepted for some modeling in my state. Is it a scammer? Should I call back?

a man name jake called and told my mother that he saw my modeling profile online,but he didnt tell her what agency or what modeling site he seen my picture on. He spoke real low  and told her that i should  call him at 1800-763-8303 it has to be in the morning.  I call there was no answer. I dont remeber puting my phone number on my profile just an email.

I got a call today from this number.  It was a guy named Ralph Cohen at ext. 5020(the guy had a Spanish accent that was very difficult to understand), who said he was a creative director from Hollywood, California.  He said I was "chosen" by his creative director (huh? and here I'm thinking Ralph IS THE creative director!  I mean, his name is Cohen, if you get my drift!) for acting and modeling auditions coming up.  I was wary (as usual) but returned the call to see what was about.  I soon found out.  He repeated all of the information I have listed here AGAIN (what a bore) and wanted to "confirm" some information (my age, height, hair color, etc.)  I told him that I was trying to remember where I had posted this information, and he told me (at least he was helpful about SOMETHING): Explore Talent (http://www.exploretalent.com).  Then I remembered.  I am a voice-over talent, and I signed up with the site, because they offered a searchable database of auditions around the US.  I should have known that one day I'd be getting a call like this.  

"Ralph" (or whatever his name REALLY is, I'm sure I'll never know) didn't want to listen to me: I told him that yes, I signed up at Explore Talent because I am always on the lookout for auditions, and I wanted to know where these auditions are (can I do them from my home studio, which is what I typically do and email the mp3).  He said that he indeed had some voiceover jobs for me in Houston, Texas.  I said well, Great!  You'll have to contact my agent if it's work in Texas.  Then he said..."no no no...we are a submissions company- you pay us a subscription fee to get information about auditions." Duh.  Now I get it.  I said immediately that I was not interested in that, and before I completely finished my sentence...he hung up on me.  How RUDE!  I listened to his boring, barely understandable utterings, and he hung up on me before I got out a complete sentence.  

I'd avoid these guys like the plague if I were you.  That's what I'll do!  A big red flag is the Unknown Caller ID coming up.  Any legitimate company will display their phone number.  I'm hoping they lose my information, and quickly.  Sigh!  I should've known better! Well- live and learn.  Thanks for the great website.  I love exposing scum.

I got a call today as well from "Jake" who had a thick accent saying that he was interested in me for modelling or acting in California.  I am neither a model nor actor, however have registered on that site as a voice actor.  I called back and got no answer.  Decided to Google the number and here I am.  Hopefully they lose this number!!

Yeah man, for sure. They are probably sitting in a room in Indonesia somewhere lol... they just want 30 bucks. Scam.

I got the same call, claiming to be Alex, he didnt name the agency or anything, and he sounded middle eastern as well, couldnt say my name, from the same number.  I never called back but he had my information and said that i fit the profile too.

It was a guy and I couldn't really understand him that well (he had an accent)and said my profile on ExploreTalent matched up with some casting director and wanted me to audition.

I, like all of you, was very suspicious and skeptical so I searched the phone number given to me, 1-800-763-8303.

Now I KNOW it was a scam :]

Got a message today from this number saying the same thing I am reading her in these reports.

When anyone wants your credit card number it's a scam.

Listen to me people....nobody in the industry will charge you for finding you jobs. Real directors do not look at these sites. You need a casting agent or a real agent. The only thing that will cost you is headshots/acting classes, and the like.

Got a voicemail from an unavailable number this morning from a Jason saying he was a casting director from Explore Talent and there was an interest in my profile (which I have submitted) for a casting call. He asked me to call 800-763-8303. His accent was foreign like (Apu on the Simpsons) When I dialed the number the same sounding voice that left me the message answered the phone but my signal was lost and my call dropped. I called later when I got home and no answer yet. Which leads me to here where I am researching the number he asked me to contact him at.

I was looking for auditions http://www.modeling-modeling.com/ and when I got the called I thought they were related.. I wonder where they got my number from and I even confirmed with them. Bummer! I should be more careful. He said his name was George Brown and that he was the creative director; I was listening to him he started to sound   redundant about the opportunities and talking to the “famous directors” it just sounded odd and like it was a sale speech, he had a very thick accent and was very hard to understand what he was saying. He said he needed my address and I thought: “ there is no way I’m going to give you that much information including a credit card”;  I told him I had to go and that I would think about it, when he didn’t want to hang up, I told him he was not being respectful and that I had to leave. By now I had  very strong feeling it was a scam to get more personal information. The modeling web site above does require to have a subscription but don’t imposed and you can use it for free for a while. I’m still wondering where they got my name and number from.

be very careful about these people. Not only it is all a scam, but I would hardly call them a talent agency. They called me about my baby boys profile and said I have to pay them right away, because there was a deadline. That is crazy. I was in modeling myself before I had the baby and this is not how this industry works. I reputable talent agency would NEVER ask for money upfront. Furthermore, even if hypotetically you had to pay certain fee for a profile on reputable sites like : kidsnetwork.com, they never ask for the money right that instant, they let you talk to your family and make sure everyone is on the same page. They will interview you before signing up..etc. The man who called me was so rude once I asked for some time...he said I should trust him...come on...are you kidding me...I don't trust anyone when it comes to my baby boy. I cought him in the lye when he promissed to get us on the pages of Parenting magazine...We live in CA, Parenting magazine works only with agencies in NY. He hung up on me when I said that if he does not give me some time I will not do it.Do your researh if you want to model, send your pictures directly to an agency and never pay upfront. When they get you a job, they will keep like 10% or something. Good luck!:)

I recieved a phone call last nigt on April 9, 2008 and he said that he was wanting me to come audition for things. So we talked about it and I asked if he wanted money. He said yes and i knew right there that it was nothing but a scame because if they want money up front then it's a scam. So i told him thank you for calling and have a nice night. So if you get this call you know that it is a scam and just tell him that have a nice day.

I also received a call yesterday from a "Clint" saying to call him at the 800 number. I could hardly understand him since his accent was so heavy and it sounded way to vague to be anything legit. I only hope that more people get smart and use the internet to do a little research before giving these scam artists any personal info! They give false promises to people who have little to no experience in the biz and take them for all they're worth. If an "agent" calls you from Hollywood, they would be required by law to take a percentage, not a membership fee.

Yeh so i dont need to write much because its going to be the same as all of these posts. And its a bit funny how there are 50 different "creative directors".. and my agent was "dina"?!?! SCAM! and kinda creepy.. and its kinda cool how everyone who left a comment here just so happened to type in the number to google.. because NO ONE has ever heard of this excel [***]. So yeh who ever is trying to get in to model.. dont call this damn number!

I too received a call from "1800-763-8303".  I don't know anything about child modeling, but I searched for agencies online and put my information on a site, but it definitely wasn't a site for this "explore talent".  It was some Indian or Arabian, turben wearing man that asked for money.  I told him that agencies that ask for money up front were scams.  He said that the scamming companies would ask for you to pay $600 for a portfolio.  He didn't really know what he was talking about.  Here's a hint for the people that might receive a call from this number, "WHAT RESPECTED AGENCIES HIRE A VERY ACCENTED MAN TO HANDLE COMMUNICATIONS?!"

I blocked my number and called the agency back.  Nothing, but a bunch of turbens on all the phones.  I said that it was ok if I paid to keep my profile up for 6 months or a year.  After he gave me some profile number of about seven digits, I said, "This phone number is on the internet as a scam!" His excuse was that the "800 number was toll free number so anyone could call"....he still doesn't know what the hell he is talking about.  I hung up on him and he tried to call me back immediately afterwards! CREEPY. FOR ALL TO KNOW:  IF THEY HAVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER, THEY MOST LIKELY HAVE YOUR ADDRESS!!! BE CAREFUL!

that same # called me, i didnt answer though, but he left me a message, he said his name was david, (he had an accent) and said hes from explore talent and the creative director that he was  calling me about some auditions, he gave me the phone #800 763 8303 and his ext.5054, i called back , and somebody from explore talent answered asked me my age and since im 15 my parents had 2 talk 2 them so i hanged up
