Isn't that part of your information? She could probably do a lot with that. Why did you think that banks cold call people to offer them loans?Quote:She did not ask for any of my information besides confirming stuff like address, employer and phone number. - Ashley robertsIts a scam. If rbc has to call you they will contact you from their website to pick a time and day that works best for you as i have had this done a few times. Never had a rbc person contact me without my information being verifed by them and me just having to say yes. They never ask me any personal questions just questions they have. I also have a secret password they must say at the beginning of the call that cant be found out unless you work for rbc

- NathanAnswered my phone and was greeted by a woman who had a slight Indian accent. She only said that I didn't have a credit card with RBC and asked if I have a plan with any other banks. Then, she informed me that I qualified for credit with RBC and asked if I had intentions to open a credit account. After telling her no, she told me of a couple of Mastercard credit plans and that she would put them in my profile for me to look at later and asked if I had any questions.
I was ready to hang up the second she brought up anything to do with personal information but she never asked for those details. I am very confused if this is a fake number or not because of the mixed reviews.- Caller: +1(800)769-2551 [Aparrently RBC]

- LokiHaven’t answered any calls from this number yet but they’ve been calling me once about each day. Seeing other comments here it is likely a scam. It never appeared as RBC for me, which probably would’ve fooled me had it appeared.

- AnonymousCalled me about getting a visa credit card from them. They said there from Ontario. They already knew my name and where I live.
Told them to call me the next day, but definitely realize it’s a scam now lol.
They called me back and didn’t answer. They called me back by a different number with the 2nd last digit being a little different.
Luckily I didn’t give them any other I formation.- Caller: RBC

30 seconds of radio silence; I heard a muffle echo back to me every time I said Hello. Caller-ID says it is RBC but I suspect it is not. I hope they're not recording my voice.- Call type: Silent call

Because they can do so much with the word "Hello"? Geez, that is even dumber than the imaginary "yes scam".Quote:I hope they're not recording my voice. - post pending moderator approval
- MichaelCalled multiple times, one time about a credit card I don't have, another where they were silent, and lately opening with my first name.
- Caller: Scammer masquerading as RBC
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- JohnCalled me claiming to be RBC, tried to start a chat and then attempted to get me to sign up for a credit card over the phone. I heavily suspected that this was a scam, and additionally they had information on my account balances, which is very unnerving... Probably an identity theft scam so be careful not to give any information
