When I answered, a female came on. Because of my disability, it is inadvisable for me to try to interact with these jerks. So, I read a script. It gives them the opportunity to explain why they are bothering me, but it also makes it clear that if they don't comply with state and federal laws (Which require them to disclose things like their name, the name of the entity on whose behalf they are calling.) I will sue. It also makes it clear they'd better not ever call me again.

At the end of the script, the lady said he'd get her supervisor. After a while, he came on. I read the same script to him. At the end, it says that "My disability may prevent me from interacting with you, but it's your turn, now. TALK." I actually threw in the fact that they would not appreciate it if I were to attempt to interact.

Sure enough, he's as stupid as the lady was. "What question do you have, sir?" or some such blather. He eventually hung up, but did not comply with the law.

We'll see if they comply with my twice repeated, "Send us a copy of your written do not call guidelines." That failure, alone, is a cause of action.

which seems to be connecting Indians worldwide.

I live in an area with a large population of foreigners, including Indians (and numerous great Indian restaurants) so they may have thought I was a prospect for some of their US/India services. Sadly, I might have been -- if they had complied with the law.

Call it back and says thank you for calling One Life an agent will be with you.  Then music!

No message, just annoying. "UNAVAILABLE" is the caller ID? The phone company that sells them the number should force the caller ID to announce their REAL name. The scum hide behind "UNAVAILABLE" tag.
