I did not receive a phone call from this number but I found it in my bank statement. I found a charge from Century Marking, Inc with this phone number 800-806-4680. They are deducting $69.16 monthly from my checking account.

The same thing just happened to me as it happened to "Bb."  I suggest everyone to be very careful when they receive a call from any 1-800-..* , especially this one.

My son shares a credit card with me and he was called on his cellphone by this company. They claimed he was eligible to win $50,000, and then proceeded to sell him 5 magazine subscriptions for $50 a month. They assured him he could cancel within 48 hours and gave him a phone number.

When we call this number it is either always busy or a recording picks up saying they are busy and will contact you and then hangs up. Well, needless to say no one does ever contact you.

I guess the only thing to do is to dispute the charge or cancel the card.

There should be a way to report this to the attorney general's office to have an investigation done.

They somehow got my cell phone number. I was charged around $70 dollars. When I called the number to cancel, sure enough, no one is there to answer.

I called the number today after joining the service. At first I thought the operator would be helpful, but in the end she got annoyed with me (and I with her.) I repeated over and over that I wanted to cancel and she kept trying to convince me to stay on and kept lowering the price. In the end, I'm out $69.16 for a years subscription to two magazines I don't want. But I was told I would not be charged anymore. This company sucks and you should avoid answering when they call. There is no way to refund your money because you made "a commitment" to them.

Yep this happened to me.  They called and were so persistent that I just said yes to get them off the phone and I was just going to cancel within the hour.  However I called and no one was there and magically my card was already charged.  I just called my bank and got a new account number and am going to dispute the charge.

the people really are disgustingly persistent, i couldn't get them off the phone and when i finally hung up, they called back.
it's weird because mine seems to have been a two-pronged attack, i first was being called by 866-961-9224 telling me i had won 25,000 dollars or something. bull.
i asked to speak with their supervisor, i got some guy who sounded like he would [***] to screwing people over. he told me all of my information and i was a little weirded out. i hung up and he called me back a number of times from 877-729-3976.
next thing i know, i get an "authorization" on my debit card (only $1, but still). This number was next to the charge, so i called it. automated voice messaging system. i called my bank and reported the card as stolen, then I filed a dispute.
I got another call from the supervisor and he told me that I couldn't back out of the contract. Which contract? No clue. Basically, I bitched at him for a while about how his customer service skills blew and how he made me feel uncomfortable and that's why i hung up on him to begin with. He said something along the lines of "Grow up and next time, when you make a contract, you better intend to keep it." Honestly, the audacity of some scamming scumbag to disrespect me and try to give me a life lesson? "Sorry you'll never make your mother proud" I told him before hanging up.

the thing is that they call and the original "contract" is for a set amount but you get the "deal" because you pay first and then the rest are free. I paid for 18 months at 49.92 and then another payoff at the end (they would give me a deal) so to make the long story short- paid $1000. tried cancelling- was told that i was paid up. not gonna pay anymore.

they can keep sending me the mags but not gonna pay for them.
