I never answer a call that doesn't clearly identify the caller. By reporting this number, one of two things should be accomplished. The caller will be identified as a problem vendor that is subject to prosecution or the caller will identify itself.

This number is from Allstate Insurance - they are trying to sell some sort of additional program.

I just received a call from this # also. I answered it last time they called and I told them not to call me back again because they just kept going on and on about upgrading to their roadside service option...I thought once you tell them to take your number off their list they legally have to....I guess not huh!

Thanks for the info on this number. I received a call from them just a while ago but didn't answer. It must have not been very important since they haven't left a message. I'm sure they will call again later.

I had them call about a week ago and told them I was not interested in the roadside service. They called back again today.

Haven't answered. I have all state insurance and recieved this roadside service thing in the mail. so that makes sense.

Thye wanted my credit card number to get started right away. The red flags are going off in my head. They called me and want my credit card number? Even if it's really Allstate, it concerns me.

I received this call at nearly 7:00 at night.  I missed the call so did not know the caller.  This site helped me to know the caller was Allstate. I have asked to be put on Allstate's do not call list. Thanks for helping me idenify an annoyance and hopefully to let Allstate know to stop!

Funny thing is I was just in the process of shopping for a new auto policy when these annoying Allstate jerks called and didn't leave a message. So I called them back and left a message stating that they had just knocked themselves off my list of companies to shop for a new policy with.

missed a call from this number today at 1:50pm, they did not leave a message but i am an allstate customer and just 2 days ago received a package from them in the mail regarding the roadside assistance mentioned by a few other people here.  assuming it was in regards to that.

I just received a call from this number and was told I'd been selected to try Allstate's new Roadside Assistance Elite program. The called described the program's benefits, etc. and told me I could do a two-month trial by putting $1 on a credit or debit card. When I asked for verification that he was indeed from Allstate, he gave me his name, ID number and another (800) number to call. A second guy answered "Allstate Quality Control," which seems suspect to me in itself. I talked to the guy and asked if he could verify my Allstate policy number. He said he couldn't. I thanked him and pretended to be interested. The first guy called back immediately and referred to something I'd said to the second guy, making me think the second guy had hung up with me and given him the go-ahead to call me back. I asked to have something mailed to me, and he couldn't do that. I told him I'm not willing to hand out my financial information over the phone to an unknown entity.

Allstate telemarketer.  They got around the DNC list since I have them as my auto insurance.  They sure aren't generating much good will.

funny thing about this is i had just dropped allstate 1 day ago.

I missed a call from this number today at 12:55pm, they did not leave a message. When I called them back, I just heard some auto message and could not clearly identify the caller. Thanks for the info on this website about this number. This number is from Allstate Insurance. It is so funny that I just contacted with their agent about my auto insurance this morning and found in surprise that they sell me the renters policy and transfer my auto policy to Travellers. And I have no idea about this. I think I should look for the new auto policy and put Allstate into do not call list.

Just got Allstate insurance about 3 weeks ago and i received a missed phone call on a Friday (01.18.08); my wife called the # back and it was an automated message from Allstate offering me roadside assistance. I just received another missed call today (01.22.08), i didn't even bother calling back.

They are not exactly giving themselves a good rep with these calls.

Received call from (800) 813-1533 today.  I didn't recognize caller, didn't answer, and they didn't leave message.

Got a call yesterday from some AllState affiliate offering roadside assitance from the number: 866-811-1302.  I declined their offer and thought I was done.  Now today I got another call, which I did not answer from 800-813-1533.  Now that I see it was from this same group it makes me mad.  What part of NO don't they understand.  I've been an AllState customer for a long time and this is the first time I've experienced this, but I'm going to let them know how displeased I am.
