I am wary of this, as I just got the call and we are a google adwords agency.

The call sounds like a scam. The email looks like a scam. But it's from a @google.com email address. Digging further, I found that the person I was speaking with in Tempe, AZ actually worked for a company called Revana. Looking them up online, they don't get the greatest reviews. BUT there is an official word FROM GOOGLE. They are a partner... which sounds like a bad play on Google's part and I still do not trust to contact them back, but here is the official word from Google:

When you call the 800 number, they do claim to be "google" and it seems google does support them as a partnership.

If you're getting scam calls, someone is spoofing the phone number. 1 800 826-9988 is the number for the genuine AdWords support team.

Scammers do not usually have 800 numbers.

Really now?? And to think scammers don't use toll free numbers...

Phone rang with nonsense caller ID. Voice mail claims to be Frank from Google calling about my Ad-words account.

I don't have an Ad-words account. If I did, I would have never given them this phone number.

If it were really Google calling...when you Google this number...the fist site that should show up in search results is a Google corporate page.

If you Google this number and the first site that pops up is 800notes.com it is NOT GOOGLE calling.

They call me twice a week for the last year..  I dont use Adwords.  Just annoying; we began hanging up on them 6 months ago.  FCC is in handcuffs and useless than ever with things like this
