repeated automated calls bordering on harrassment ( daily calls) I am an 80 yr old woman who has never owned a credit card.

The caller was looking for some woman that must have given my cell phone number as hers.  I have had this number for six years and it is my business number.  I have seen this number before and never answered since I have only so many minutes under my plan.  I immediately told the dude that I don't want calls from solic. types.  I can answer my phone however I want.  Time to contact my congresswoman.

Got a call from them saying to wait for an available associate. Sounded like BS. What type of company calls me and then tells me to wait?

We've received repeated calls from this number for a woman named Ethel. We've had our number for over a year and a half, and have been receiving these calls since about the first month. I will be emailing sales@nelsonwatson.com as well. I'm glad I found all of this helpful info!

An automated recording to call this company about an important message, or to WAIT for an associate. Concerns a name I'm not associate with; on that person's application, I've been named a contact.
I'm on the do not call list, but have received several calls from this company in the last few months even after telling them I don't know the person in question.

I've received two calls to date from an automated voice system with an important message and I was given a code to enter when I called, but it's not very understandable. I finally decided to call them and ask what it was about since I've never heard of Nelson and Watson and Associates (got the name  from this site, couldn't decipher it from phone call)!  At any rate, I never really talked to a real person just a request to enter the code provided or my social security number (I'm not that stupid!)  After a few moments and some Bethoven is played, a voice comes on and says eneter your social security number (just like that).  I just waited until I was transferred to a general voicemail box, where I left a daytime number that I could be reached at, and advised them I've never heard of them and wanted to discuss with them what it is they want, but after reading the above comments, it's like I thought, just another scam to steal a hard working person's money.

You can tell this must be a real bunch of bottom feeding losers who can't hire people who can even speak. Found out about this place from the Caller ID and a quick search - So far one call each day this week - same time... someone called Jeffery (I think - can't understand) called - said to call back and hung up before he completed his extention - probably dropped the donut on the keyboard. Pre-Litigation company - that's a new one... called idle threats - and it is illegal to suggest legal action or litigation unless you intend to fulfill it. They should read the Credit laws... I foresee a federal case coming down their road. I just ignore no brains like this place... probably looking for a debt from 20 years ago..

Left message saying, "We need to talk" but left no other information but another number to call 800-870-6114.

I just recieved a phone call from this number, I didn't answer but they called back again, twice in a row and they left a message saying they needed me to call back they said something I couldnt understand what they said so I was like ok why not so I called them back...dumb idea...some lady was like "whats your name and phone number" I made up some BS and then she was like whats your date of birth and ssn...yeah effin right...I told them if they ever called back all hell would break loose...doubt they will listen...

I have received numerous calls from this number. They claim my number belongs to someone named William Carr.
What can we do to stop this fraud?

This company has been told we are on National Do Not Call list and the people they are calling have never lived at this phone number. We have asked several times for them to please remove number from calling list.

they have been calling me and i never answer 1-800 numbers, hate solictors...looked on here and now i know who they are, but oh well, they never leave a msg and i figure if it that important that they keep calling they should leave me a msg...so beware!!!

Receive two calls on my recorder this week about important business to discuss said the message was for Karen W. or Karen J. "whichever name you're using" like I was using an alias or something. My husband called them and they were very rude to him, would not answer his questions or why they were calling our home. So I call and identified myself, they ask if I had ever used the last name Johnson and I said no, nor did the last 4 digits of my SSN or birthdate match what they had. So Katie said she would remove my phone number, I'm hoping that is all there was to it. Very strange though. They must have some new 800 numbers because our call back number was 800-764-2529. I know it was from Nelson, Watson & Associates because whoever answered the call identified the company.

I also received a call from this number, the name was read so fast that i did not know who the representative was asking for. I said they are not here cause i figured it was for my father. Quickly she asked for his cell phone number and said this is a private legal matter when i asked why she was calling. I said he can call back if the number on the caller id is the right number, she said 'you sound like you don't even want to leave him a message' I said. 'why are you being an [***]?' And told her she was being rude. She did not answer back. So i hung up and called the number on the caller id and got a representative who gave me a case number and what not, but now i am skeptical and my father is older and do not want him to fall for their [***].

LOS ANGELES (CN) – A federal judge refused to dismiss a couple’s claim that N Star Acquisitions barraged them with hostile phone calls to collect a nonexistent debt. Paul and Suzette Oei say North Star representatives called their house incessantly, trying to collect a debt the Oeis allegedly owed on an Aspire credit card account, though the Oeis said they never owned an Aspire card. Suzette claimed one worker called her at work, accused her of being a liar, and when Suzette asked him to stop calling, called another 23 times. When North Star’s attorney, Paul Carruthers, sued them, they fired back with their own lawsuit, which North Star moved to dismiss for a slew of reasons. It claimed North Star was not an actual debt collector and couldn’t be held responsible for the actions of its attorney, whom it labeled an “independent contractor.” Judge Margaret Morrow rejected these arguments, as well as the Oeis’ assertion that their emotional distress claim was “akin” to a malicious prosecution claim.

These jerks have been calling us for months. They are using this number now. If they would identify themselves, instead of blocking their number, I might be tempted to talk to them. All they do is leave a recorded message. They want me to call them. Duh! I have no outstanding debts and have an excellent credit rating. I had a similar situation several years ago where I was mistaken for somebody else. I'm sure it's the same misinformation being sold to these scum suckers too.

I also have been receiving phone calls from 800-834-9011 twice daily. Around 8 a.m. then later in the evening. There is never a message even though it goes to my voice mail.  In addition I have been receiving phone calls twice daily from 201-210-3618, leaving a message that it is a call from NCO (collection agency) and for me to contact them immediately.  Then he leaves a call back number with a reference number.  I have news for them, I have excellant credit. I do not understand why they are continuing to call my number.  I have had this phone number since 1992 and no one else lives with me.  I guess my solution would be to leave the answering machine off!!
