they said they are chase fraud department

this is definite fraud. they asked for debit card or account number. i called chase on the number of their website. no issues

Same happened to me.  The phone tree menu for the automated call did not work, which raised my suspicions.  Once I was connected with a real human being, she said she needed to me to verify whether a recent transaction was made by me and then asked for my card number.  Rather than give her my number, I told her I would call the Chase Card Services Fraud department instead.  There were no recent, much less suspicious, transactions on the account.
