- mikerCaller ID Name = TOLL FREE CALL. This request for a satisfaction survey came just a few minutes after a support call to Time Warner Cable. Since I prefer to be given an option to answer a survey rather than getting an automatic robocall, and since I may be asking for additional support in the future, I've added this number to my list of blocked numbers. Note that Time Warner does the same thing for new installations. See blog entries for 800-222-5355.

I receive a call from this number any time I've called Time Warner to speak to a customer service rep about my cable internet account. They call only when I actually speak to an agent; they don't call if I've called them and made a payment over the phone myself or if I go on Time Warner's site to access my account. It's only so they can get feedback on their human employees. I don't know what they do about their automated employees. :) Legit.

it's not really well in-sync though with why you called. In my case, I was having trouble one eve with my iPad Time Warner cable tv app - as were all the customer support people I spoke with themselves. No one had reported it to them though - and being at work, they were not trying to "watch" it on their ipads. But they retrieved one, tried it, and then told the higher-ups it was malfunctioning.
They were going off duty at 9pm that night and told me they would call me back to try mine again IF they saw TW got it fixed while they were still on duty. It did not get fixed then but was working by the next day again. I think it was at the upload end to them in terms of the signal.
Anyway - this 800-846-8212 is just an auto-survey - there are no live people managing this particular line. It may not eve be TW itself but a contractor - not sure. It is harmless tho - not selling anything, not asking for anything but ratings from 1-5 on their customer support. - TeacFan| 2 repliesTime Warner - Just got my rate reduced and the called with a survey for quality of previous call.

They call me 5 minutes later from a different number to do a survey. PHUCK TIME WARNER! If they call me one more time I am cancelling my service. - M20See the notes above about this number being a TWC callback. And, did just have service with them today. Did not answer the call because on the caller ID, did not ID as TWC. If TWC wants feedback, then they need to ID themselves on the caller ID as I do not answer unidentified calls.

- Data WranglerThe caller ID said "800 Service" so I automatically assumed it was a telemarketer and didn't answer the call. But had the caller ID identified the call as coming from Time Warner, I would have happily completed the survey. The rep I talked to earlier today was actually very helpful.

- sick of scammersI would have taken this call if the ID had read Time Warner because I did just call them with a service question and a survey would have been no problem. Never answer unknown callers and 800Service is an unidentified caller.

- TX MaestroJust got call, I assumed it was TWC so I answered - but they did not. After repeated hellos I hung up, walked to my call sentry and blocked the number. They should identify themselves on CID as TWC and someone should respond as soon as the answering arty says "Hello". Unprofessional robocall to say the least. I don't do surveys anyway - why feed the machine?
