The first mistake everyone is making is answering the call. Now they know it's a working number and won't give it a rest.

This person tried to disguise their voice by pretending to be Hillary Clinton. I told them that I knew that Bernie Sanders accent the moment that they started the spiel Bernie should stop picking on Hillary, it's no wonder she has a drinking problem.

Recording advised that my Wells Fargo credit card interest rate could be lowered and it was my last chance. I don't have a Well Fargo credit card.  I pressed 1. Male with foreign accent got to the point quickly by asking for my credit card expiration date. I informed that I would have to find my credit card and that while he waited I would provide some very nice music for him to listen to. After a minute or so, I detected a busy signal on my telephone.

This is my own personal harassment method used against the scammers and I know it is working.

Glad to hear these scammers weren't too affected by this pandemic!  They spoofed the number for SCL Health this time 303-812-5947. Spoke with "Dale Allen" of "Credit Security Services" located in "Tampa, FL" and their phone number is "800-847-2911" - yeah right to everything in quotes. Asked why my Caller ID showed it was my local hospital calling he went on a speel that the calls actually come from Experian. I asked who they were looking for - gave last name but couldn't say it right, asked which one rattled off a list of names, I responded to each name with "doesn't live here".  Then he asked if I was interested & I asked if he could understand & comprehend the English language. Asked me why I said that & I replied "No credit card, Do Not Call List, Remove My Number & Stop Calling!". Told me "F*@k You!" & hung up.

    Annoyed, again
My caller ID said they were calling from 715 87-9585, yes, l know it is not a complete number. I pressed one and the gentleman who came on had a heavy accent,. He said it company is Financial Services; yeah, try finding that on the intenet. He also gave his number as 800 847-2911. He is going to lower my credit card interest rate. I asked how that would benefit me. I was able to keep him on for 4.5 minutes. He hung up when I asked how that benefits me when l pay in full each month.

I thought that too!  Madesh called me yesterday, played along until he asked for my CC numbers, after hanging up I got six calls back (all from random US phone numbers).  Today Madesh called using this 800 number, couldn't believe that it goes back to 2009 either!  WTF?

This number is on the back of my VISA credit card as the emergency service number for VISA. I am confused about how it is also being reported as a scam number.

First explain why you looked the number up if it was on the back of your card and then I will explain why it is being reported as a scam number.
