unwanted call about an insurance quote.  Will not stop calling me.

Got a sales call today from 800-850-2792, which is AIG Insurance. I am listed with the National Do Not Call Registry, but they called anyway.

I'm at work, I can use the internet but I can't talk on the phone. I've been looking for quotes for my new car. This number called within minutes of me getting a quote and again at least twice since. I will never buy from 21st Century.

Called house 5 times in less then an hour...left message once...answered call on 5th attempt and they hung up...have not asked for an insurance quote from them but they claim we did...

I got the call today 3 times in one hour. Claimed to be from 21st Century Insurance. Said I requested an on line insurance quote which I have not.

This is getting ridiculous the calls just started last night. One call then but now they have called 3 times in the past hour...

These people have called my cell 5x in the last hour.  I would NOT get insurance through thgem if it was the last insurance co around!!!!
I do not p/up, hit IGNORE but its still a pain.

This does not actually work for this. Companies you "do business with" are exempt. This means if you contact them for a quote, they can call you.

I called the number back and asked them to remove my number. So far so good.

The listed number is alternating with 877-690-6084. When I don't answer the first #, the 800# retries. Will put on my blacklist.

I have received 8 calls from this same number today and I told them if they call 1 more time I will turn them in to the BBB today. The rep made a snob comment and then he hung up.

Did you guys start getting these calls after you got an insurance quote online anywhere?  It seems as though this started happening after I did that.

This number keeps calling my cell phone and I want it to stop!

I'm already on the do not call list. When I went to go search for car insurance quotes they asked for a phone number. I put down a FAKE one, but only the last digit was off. Somehow, somewhere, their tricky system called me within 1 minute of requesting the quote.

I am indeed going to report this number, and I immediately blocked it on my phone.

I was an "inside sales rep" (telemarketer) for 2 years when I was a kid... During training they made sure we understood what the laws were and where our leads came from. Most sales companies buy info from lead generator services. The more money or net worth a person appears to have (based on public records and paper trails) the more companies will pay for their information and phone numbers. 99% of the time, when a marketer calls you, they already have your name, address, spouse's name, etc. It's all part of the package they buy. Even if you're on the nationwide Do Not Call List, your info is usable. Most companies don"t have to follow it.  The best thing to do is to tell EACH and EVERY company that calls you to put you on THEIR Do Not Call List and make a note of it with the company name, the person you spoke to, and the date. If the company calls you again within a year from that date, they'll be fined. Telling a company to take your number off their call list is NOT the same thing and won't stop the annoying calls.

I'm not sure if different states have different policies about reporting calls but you can look online to find out where to report calls after you've requested to be added their DNC list......
