They are calling my business and hanging up. Interrupting my business day. I've left messages for them that they have a bogus phone # for someone else... they just call again the next day and hang up. I guess I'll have to file a complaint.

This number keeps calling my office and hanging up when I answer. I mean, literally, as soon as I pick up the phone, they hang up. The Caller ID gives only the phone number.

Calls consistently and then disconnects when I answer.  When I try to call back to find out what this is about, I am put on hold for several minutes until I finally give up.

Focus Receivables has been calling my place of business for the last week at least 4 times a day.  I do not owe anyone.  I just do not answer the phone.  We do not sell to people out of state so we always use caller ID.  Usually its someone about google maps.

I totally agree.  We just purchased a home and was advised to pay the original creditor not the collection agency.  A few had to write letters stating they refused my payments and the I sent them to the Credit Bureaus who removed it from all three of the bureaus.  Don't pay the collection agency!!!!!  I know they need jobs as well as everyone else but there is a nice way to talk to a dog, more or less a person.  Also, read up on the Fair Credit Act rights for consumers.  Lots of good info there

been getting calls from this number several times a day for a few months now. I put them on the blocked call list so they get forwarded to VM. today was the first time I had a message. Focus something is the company. I do not owe. I will be calling them back to see what BS they have to say.

This company handles billing for other companies - I can't speak for debt collection, but they sound like debt collecters in how they record things etcetc.. but, they were able to access the information through my account with the company I had a past due balance with and take care of it. This was not a scam in my case.
    • Caller: They handle past due balances on business accounts for some cable providers

This number has called at least 1x a day every day this week at my place of business.  No one responds when I answer with our office greeting.  I wait a moment and then hang up every time.  I wish I could ignore it, but need to answer all calls coming in.

Never pay any debt collector unless they can provide you with documentation that the debt actually belongs to you.  If your debt is past the Statue of Limitations, agreeing to pay such debt resets the collections clock on the debt.  Perhaps you have a common name, you agreed to pay the debt without them providing documentation the debt belongs to you, you are then stuck paying a debt that may not belong to you.
