- Mikael| 1 replyEven if the phone number comes up on caller id as 1800-869-3557, it may not actually be wells fargo. I have been getting calls on my cell phone from people on the other side of the country saying that I called them. I never called, but my number is showing up on their caller id when a company called Dyncorp calls them. The same thing may be happening with a lot of you. Wells Fargo phone bankers will not call you unless it has something to do with your wells fargo account. If you don't have an account and they are calling you, it's either because they have the wrong number in their system or someone is spoofing their number.
- Seana James| 1 replyI'm getting the same daily calls--this time it even sounds like the same kid calling. He speaks like he's got a mouthful of mashed potatoes and today it sounded like he was calling from a bus station pay phone. I asked him who he was with and he said "Wells Fargo" but having read the posts above, I truly don't believe him.
I live in Washington State and our Attorney General has gotten some strict legislation passed to prevent telemarketers from calling. I'm going to report this number to that office.- Caller: Wells Fargo

- Drake replies to LwaAs an employee of the phone bank, when I make outbound calls, it shows with that number. It may be that you know someone at wells, or might have upset a banker you were speaking with. Unfortunately there's not a way to tell what phone they called from at 10 call centers with over 500 phones each.
- Derrick Shafer replies to Chino| 2 repliesNow the bad news; they are going to screw ya and they aren't even going to kiss you first.
Traveler's advantage, through a wells Fargo promotion,
did the exact same thing to me.
Thier "Make-Shift" customer service telephone number is located on the back of thier "Make-Shift Membership Card", if you received one.
The number is: 800.648.4037
Go to "Rip Off Reports" to see my entry and other peoples blogs who have gotten burnt to a crisp by Traverls and Wells Fargo.
Travelers (Dis)Advantage is a smaller scam company off of the larger "Criminal Collective", Trilegiant Corporation.
The only prayer that we, the abused innocent victims, can do anything about this is to all go to www.bbb.org (Better Business Bureau) and lodge a complaint against Wells Fargo (the host), And the other two scam entities.
Sincerely,
Derrick Shafer - Wizouskiwhen they called it was two girls that knew my name & happened to that i lived near mexico.
- tokalthey have been calling me everyday asking for my husband and won't talk to me. when I called the number back it was Wells Fargo. We have an account there so I asked why they called. They said they had no record of a call and if they had they would have spoken to me. Next time they call I am going to lay into them.

- stick replies to Lwa| 3 replies1-800-869-3657 my mother received an e-mail from the royal bank informing her there was a problem with her on line banking account. She does not have on-line banking. She call royal bank and they are investigating this. It was an attempted fraud. Remember your bank will not contact you this way. We need better laws in dealing with these on line thieves. If you get an e-mail out of the blue, then make a phone call to your local branch and ask them.
- joe bidenCall received, no message left, I never, absolutely never, answer any calls from numbers I do not know. Too many bottom feeders out there, phishing for suckers. If this is Wells Fargo, why no message. Someone phishing, probably a [***]

- Melissa StewartI am the social security payee for the above named individual. She is a mentally disabled young adult who has no bank account, no credit cards, and only until recently she has a job. She is getting calls from this number on her cell phone repeatedly. I plan to take actions to get it stopped.
- Caller: Wells Fargo Bank
- NicoleI got an email saying it was Wells Fargo with this number. Looked legit with Logo, part of my debit card number, fraud protection, etc. The email asked me to verify my information in order for them to send my updated debit card. I don't do any online banking and asked Wells to delete my e-mail address 2 years ago. Of course they did not but I'd never seen them do this before. I called a different number at Wells to talk to someone, they said they do not send emails out like that at all and to delete it. They still had my email in my info. This is a bogus number connected with bogus emails. Don't know if they are hacking into Wells or what. Be careful!

For those of you who are complaining, it might be a legitimate call. All you have to do is either answer or call them back.- Caller: Wells Fargo Corporate office
- sonnySeems legitimate to me as well. Call was received from 1-800-869-3557. An automated message was left and asked me to call Wells Fargo to activate my new card. They even referenced the same phone number that is on the back of my current card. They want me to activate my new card, since my current card will be inactivated in a few days.
- Caller: 800-869-3557
- Maverick| 2 repliesBEWARE. This is some kind of a scam. I got an email from "Wells Fargo", with this same phone number. This email looks really good, from a phishing site. Looking real legit and everything told me my card (XXX-XXXX-0000(actually had 4 numbers, NOT mine) was going to expire soon and they would send me a new card. My card is NOT expiring soon and it's been about 45 days since I got this email. They want me to go to a site and "update my info". If you have gotten this email and run the "headers, you will see that it comes from an overseas source. I will take a copy of the email to my local bank and also the F.B.I.
