Called. I answered with single "Hello." After about 10 seconds, caller hang up. Probable Caller ID spoof.

My parents and I received a phone call on our landline phone from (800) 869-3557 at 1:34 P.M. Eastern Time on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Our phone rang three times and I picked up our receiver and hung it up. However, our caller ID did not provide us with a company name or with a persons name. I searched this phone number on the website Google and it looks like it may be a Wells Fargo Bank scam. I reported this phone number to the FCC and to the National Do Not Call Registry.

I haven't had a Wells Fargo account or credit card in 25 years! An obvious scam & a spoofed number. I just wish I had answered so i  could have yelled at and cursed out the scammers. Not making any money and being yelled at are the only things that will stop them. But I suppose that unfortunately there will always be stupid people who fall for whatever they are scamming about.

Yeah, I bet they never had anyone yell or curse at them before.

Never gets old though... :)

Caller has called before. I do not answer these calls

First they offered debt relief. When I said I wanted interest% reduction, he said we can do that too. After his spiel I told him I’m having difficulty understanding him. So he asked if my cc number started with 4019 and I said “how should I know”. He wanted my cc# and started to get frustrated when I said I haven’t memorized my number. Anyway, after frustrating a supervisor who took over the call, the sup cussed me out and hung up when I started laughing.

Just got a similar call that was Chase bank and someone using both numbers to scam people . do not give any info if they call!

If they answer (this one disconnected after I pressed 1)  (Wells Fargo spoofed number)
I will usually prank them with fake c.c. numbers and phony information.
If I have the time; I will see how long I can go before they figure out it was a scam.

Robocaller spoofing a valid number stating the message:

"Attention, attention. This is Sarah cello with the account holder Services. Due to the tragic times we are offering all valued customers a full debt forgiveness. This is your final notice. Press one to get your debt validated."

I get a lot of calls like this.  I answer, and there is no one there.

Comes in as Wells Fargo, it sin't! number is spoofed and is a scam!

Answered the phone when it said Wells Fargo Bank and got a recording that they are cancelling all debts and if I press #1 I will be debt free. It was an automated voice and no real person. Obviously a spam or scam call. I have blocked their number. I had an account many years ago prior to my declaration of Bankruptcy. I don't even walk into their bank after they screw over so many people in the last 4 years.

Called and left no message…
