called my cell. belden jewelers collections/ Sterling/ Kay. ALSO SENT A TXT to my CELL!!!! WTH?

Left a voicemail, Said name was Maxine and that their 'client' left me as a reference number for contact.

Some asshat who just called at 7:50 am!!! 7:50! Isn't there a law or something that they can't call this early? Left a voicemail saying 'this is a recorded message from your jeweler'. I don't even have a jeweler. Or any real jewelry for that matter. Grr.

Called 28 times for a person I have never heard of before.

left 2 messages.. called back said Kay jewlers checking eferral on a person the couldn't contact. I hadn't talked to this person for a year- I don't trust  the story thy are selling check them out carefully b4 telling anything

Call from Ms. Lansford, "from Kay Jewlers" calling for someone who "listed you as a reference."  Asked to leave a message for them, although person does not live here.   Seemed like a credit collections or scam.   She tried to dig for info, asked me to get message for person who does not live here, left ph# and name when I asked for it:  1-800-7350, ext 1666, Ms. Lasford, said person "should call me back today." ???
No reverse lookup info found (not free, anwyway), no similar ph# found on Kay Jewlers website.

Caller Rebecca advised she was calling because I was listed as a reference for some knucklehead I don't know, nor have ever heard the name. Caller ID showed she called from a Centreville number in Maryland but said she was from Ohio. Refused to give further info although this knucklehead used me and my unlisted number as a reference. Beware.

Yes they can not call before 8 am.

I think this is an attempt to collect a bill.... here is what happend to me and my response to my nephew:

A woman asked for you by name ~ I told her you were my nephew
She said she has been trying to get in touch with you for over two weeks and
Would I please take her name and number to pass along to you.
I agreed.

Her name is Joanne from Jared Galleria in Ohio
She can be reached at 1-800-877-7350
She will be there until 8 PM our time.

My 13 y.o. son got an urgent call on his cell from "Stacy" @ 800-877-7350 calling for some guy we never heard of.  Stacy said she was from Corp. Ofc at "Shaws" Jewelers, not Kay Jewelers as mentioned in other complaints!  When I called to tell them to get my son's # off the record of that guy we never heard of, the man I spoke with then asked what our account # was!  I said we have no account with you... we just want our # off this guy's account!!  (I suspect this is a collection agency calling from Shaws, based on the fact that the same # is calling from different jewelry stores).

Called for person that is not me several times with several different numbers (800)877-7350, (800)788-0967, (412)768-9753, (330)310-9193,      (330)668-5753, (330)326-2840, (402)935-2050, (800)732-7031, (804)405-2168, (800)877-3616, AND PLENTY MORE.  Please PLEASE stop calling me.  They were from Kay Jewelers......

My brother received a call from a Mr. Davis claiming I left his name and number as a reference (which is completely untrue) then told him he was trying to save me from 5-7. Meaning 5-7 years in prison. My wife and I have fallen on hard times and are a couple months behind, but come on. I'm not an complete idiot.  The call was from some collection agency regarding a Kay Jewelers account.  The stuff they come up with these days from lying about where they found a number and threatening prison time. What happened to just saying we're a creditor. You owe. We're trying to collect. I'd be more inclined to deal with them.

Someone called my mothers house and asked for me by name. They said they were calling from Kay Jewelers about XXXXX because she had listed me as a reference on her credit application. The lady gave my mom a telephone number and extension # and asked that I call back immediately. Funny thing is, the person they are looking for is a woman that an ex-boyfriend of mine from almost 10 years ago left me for once he knocked her up! (Believe me I'll never forget that name.) I can't wait to call back the telephone number tomorrow and give them a what-for and advise them to never call me again. If they continue to harrass me and my mother I will have no choice but to contact the Federal Trade Commission and file a complaint.

Received a message today from 800-877-7350 asking for my aunt, who has never live with me or does not  have my home telephone number.  The caller identified herself as Kathryn  at Ex 19. When I called back the lady said it was a account from Kay Jewelers, I questioned further because my husband has a Kay Jewelers account.  The lady just couldn't answer my questions correctly, so I hung up.  I really think this is a scam.

Recieved call from 312 629 7505. The caller was Kathryn. Looking for a man I know as the man worked in the same company as I did. No reason specified why was she looking for him. Left her number as 1 800 877 7350 Ext 19. Just wondering how these callers get cell phone details of people not having any business with them. They must be fraudsters like any other junkies to know that you have a valid cell phone so that they can use your information for any kind of fraud.

I received a call from 618-659-4631.  Stating they where from Shaws looking for my Sister and gave the call back number of 800-877-7350 ext 2397.

Received a call from Sheryl at the corporate office of Jared's, the Galleria of Jewelers, asking for my ex husband. Apparently, he is not keeping up with the payments for the big expensive ring he bought for his new wife. Then my dad tells me today that he got a call from them asking for him too!!!  We've been divorced 3 years! I called them back and they asked for the account number. I don't have one, obviously, and they were unable to locate the account by looking up either phone number. How odd.  My standard practice will bill collectors for other people is... I give up the person's cell phone number in exchange for the bill collector agreeing to NEVER call me again.
