annoying ass jeweler calling constantly

This is a telemarketing robocall that leaves this number as the call back number. They call repeatedly, in violation of the National Do Not Call Registry law. They need to be prosecuted!

They called me twice in one day.  Looking for someone with the same last name as mine. This is illegal to use automated systems to cal you. They are a collection agency for a jeweler.

Go to this website and select a Cease Communication letter which is appropriate for your situation. Send it VIA Certified Mail and request a return receipt. By law, they have to stop calling you once they receive it or face fines of up to $1,000.00 PER violation:

2 or 3 times a day all last week. then again on today, sunday 6/29/08 around 6pm.

I have discovered through some phone calls that it is a jewelry co. collection agency, they call themselves "Sterling, Inc." One of the 10 (or so they claim) companies that they represent is Kay Jewelers.  They claim that it is an authomated calling number--and apparently the automated calling evice cannot differentiate first names...  Their mailing address is P.O. Box 740425, Cincinnati, OH   45274-0425  (Kay Jewelers?)  Their actual "knock on the door" address is Sterling, Inc. 375 Ghent Road, Akron, OH   44333.

It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Signet, http://www.signetgroupplc.com/pages/1/Home.stm and is publicly held, traded in the US, and subject to SEC rules.  I don't believe I would be buying stock in it!!!

See my postings above--it is time to contact corporate!!  Sterling also has a website--I think that Kay does also--you may have a local Kay you could contact--maybe ads in the local newspaper, etc?  This is a terrible business model.  The CEO should be ashamed of himself.

The calls are in no way telemarketing or sales. Sterling Jewelers is the parent company of Jared, Kay, JB Robinson, Rogers, Leroys, Goodman, Friedlanders, Marks and Morgan, and several other regional jewelry stores.  The calls are in fact coming from the corporate office in Akron, Ohio and are made on an automatic dialing system. The calls are to secure at least a minimum qualifying payment on an account that is past due one month. When a payment is made the calls stop.  If it is in fact a wrong #, politely let them know and the calls will stop. Not too difficult and no law suits required.

Auto calls received EVERY morning at 8:30.  I don't have, and have never had, anything to do with Kay's Jewelers.  Sick of getting these calls.  Have already complained once, a couple of months ago, did no good.

This number appears 30 times in my recent call log on my cell phone. I believe they are calling me 3-4 times a day. I have never bought jewelry in my life and if I ever did I don't believe I would buy from any branch of this company after this. This is uncalled-for harassment, and calling so repetitively in one day could be deemed harassment even if I was an actual customer.

call states that it is a private notice and a formal investigation is being made along with a name search. They give a case docket number and a number to call back. sounds official. Did not call back though.

This is in fact Sterling Jewlers, and if you have done buisness with any of their companies, they are within their rights to call you. I have gotten calls from this number myself. I have gotten behind on my payments due to illness in the family. They have gone the extra mile to work with me on the situation.

I get a message that says "Your return call would be appreciated".  No name, no information as to who they are, nothing.  I'm not calling back till they tell me who they are!

i must agree that they are the best collections related calls that i have ever experienced. it was my fault they called, they need a job too, but its awesome when they aren't a**holes.

Kay's Jewelers calling me every time I'm late on a payment. . . definately don't mind this call.

Bought a ring a month ago. Put it on the Kay card (3 months before payments are due). Yet they've been calling me since the first week. I still have two months before I'm even eligible for payment, why are they calling me already?

It is the collections department of jewelers
If you know you don’t owe anyone money just tell them that after they ask for your account number and verify the name. If the name isn’t yours tell them point blank to take you off their automated calling system

Sterling jewelers, not only will they harrass the [***] out of you until they"secure payment over the phone" but they are dumb as [***] and leave messages that say there hours about 3 times then repeat there number another 6 times, yeah, get it [***] heads you want money, sorry im broke and i only owe 200 bucks relax calling me 30 times a day won't change the fact i dont have a dime.
