    Well for starters I'd say to start by going back to school and getting an education. After you"ve done that then maybe you could figure out how the system works. Then I'd say to pay your bills all on time so your not in this mess having debits

    A similar thing has happened to me.  Yesterday my parents and my ex-boyfriends parents rrecieved a call from by the name of Sabastian James stating this exact same thing, not about the warrant though.  I had a payday loan that had defaulted so I figured this was legit.  That was until I talked to my friend who is a cop and he said this was a scam.  We googled the address that was on the paperwork that they sent and it came back as a UPS Store.  My cop friend said that  they cannot arrest you for something like this as it is considered a civil dispute.  He said it would be like running up your credit card and not paying for it.  I went ahead and filed a report with my White Collar Crime Division.

    I am getting the same calls, on money I don't even owe.  I settled with AFB (a very bad collection agency that is involved in all this as well.  They claim I still owe $112 and if I don't pay, they are sending me to jail.  I told Karen at 1-800-883-9067 and she assured me that she would take care of this, that it isn't the first time this has happened.  I got NOTHING in writing, all I have is my bank records that they took the money out of my account.  I came home to a phone call from Lacey at 1-888-243-0850 that she was going to serve me within 24 hours.  That is why I looked these numbers up.  Nothing has been given to me in writing, nothing.  These people are harassing me, and I fully plan on calling the BBB.  I suggest you all do the same.  If anyone knows anything more about these people, please respond !!! Good luck !!

    I took out a loan from cashnetusa I did not pay the loans in full so they stated that sold it to a third party.  They called my mother and I am not sure how they got her number because it was never listed and stated that I owe for a loan and they were wanting to serve me with court papers at my job.  They stated I would be goin to jail for check fraud and that they wanted me to set up weekly payment, I was scared so I did. but the lady  spoke to on the phone stated that she was communicating with Cashnet and that if I set up the payments  they coulkd stop the legal charges. I am notw thinking this was a Scam because cashnet is not showing the loans was paid off. Also theat company stated once it was paid I would recievd a letter via mail and I have yet to get anything. I just contact cashnetusa about and they all they do is give me this DMP 1800-883-9067. I am really starting to think cashnet usa is a scam. I don't know why.

    The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

    is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
    refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
    asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
    exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

    If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
    Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
    If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

    Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

    Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

    Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

    Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

    This place buys your debt from Cash Net USA and threatens you with jail. Dont pay them nothing cause a second party cant get nothing out of you. When they tell you they got papers for you to go to court tell them to bring them on. They are full of it. Cant do anything to you. Cant even garnish your wages. Just a scare tactic.

    Some lady called me the other day threatening me over a cashnet usa loan from oct 2012. Threatening and screaming about hot check charges trying to charge me with 3 of them. And more terrifying Blah blah blah. She refused to shut up. Just more and more threats. Also had ALL my info which was scary and she got really mad when I refused to verify my banking information. I will pay all debts owed to me but I shouldnt be threatned and treated liked that. She was saying I was going to jail if it wasnt paid by the end of the day. Her name is Amber Monroe 18668551260 EXT 313. But when she called the ID stated 7206845962. Can I not pay cashnet usa directly?? I have read many of these posts and there are way too many scams to trust someone on the other end of the phone when it deals with my checking account. I live pay check to pay check. I can't afford to lose what little I get paid.

    This company took $600 from my account. I disputed the charge and a week later they did it again! I have filed reports with the FTC and IC3.gov. I got a letter in the mail from them as well today.

    Definitely a scam. They can't tell me when this loan was supposedly taken out, from whom or any actual information.
