a co worker took down a message that Tyler Willis at 800-888-7243 called and ask for "Jesse" but did not remember the last name that he gave. She asked what the call was concerning and he said it was regular business matters, that he could not discuss it with her. I returned the call this morning and a lady answered. I asked for Tyler, she asked for my name and the phone number that HE called me at. After being placed on hold Tyler answered and asked for my name and an account number. I told him I did not have an account number and told him where I worked, thinking because he called me at work it was work related. He placed me on hold and asked for my cell phone number. I asked why and he said he called a cell phone  number and left a message and he wanted to check to see if they were the same. I told him I would give him the last 4 number and he said he needed the entire number to look it up. Like an idiot I gave him my cell number. He said he still couldn't find anything so he placed me on hold to speak to a supervisor. When he came back on he asked for my social security number.  I asked his why he needed it. Before he could answer I asked his who he was and what company he was calling from. He told me he was calling from Berlin Wheeler and that he needed my SS#. I asked him what Berlin Wheeler was, a law firm, debt collector and he told me he COULD NOT discuss that with me. I told him wait...you can't tell me who you are or why your calling me at my place of work but you want me to give you my SS# and be ok and he said yes. I told him he called the wrong person and hung up. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! I was a fool to give his my cell because now I know they will be blowing it up. But the f*cking nerve to ask for my personal information and not tell me why. If I wasn't at work I would have given him a huge piece of my mind. I googled the phone number and it gave me a website. According to the website Berlin Wheeler is a debt collector based out of Topeka KS. Last time I checked collects had to identify themselve. And on top of that I owe no one anything. personaly Tyler and is company smell like a scam.

They are just a bunch of scammers!!  Too much of this going around and something needs to be done about it. never give out ANY information over the phone!!  Just tell them to mail it to you, if it is on the up and up they will already have your address. Add their number to your reject list and don't answer any of their calls. They will have to stop sometime when no one ever answers.

I have dealt with Tyler Willis before as well. He is a very well mannered, professional man, and very pleasant to talk to on the phone. He is only doing his job, nothing more. For the LONGEST time I thought it was a scam, too, but turns out that I did in fact forget to pay a bill. I don't know what your problem with him is, but when I went into the office I requested to speak with him face-to-face, and I thought I was in a dream. He not only was professional, but also was a looker. I will be paying my debts to him ANY time that he calls! Maybe you should try to be a little bit nicer to the collectors, because they are only doing their jobs. I trust Berlin Wheeler 100%. Maybe it was just your attitude towards the situation? Either way I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant person to work with on my debt!

I recently had one of my hospital bills turned into Berlin Wheeler Collection Agency. I have had nothing but help from them in getting this matter resolved as soon as possible. My account manager Lena Robinson sounds a little young but over all has been nothing but polite and respectful and understanding, my father had passed away this past month and she was understanding that I wouldn't be able to make my September payment. I have nothing but good things to say about this agency, I have also dealt with Tyler Willis and am very pleased with his efforts as well. These people are just doing their jobs and are not monsters, I wish more people would understand like Bethany.

They called my number trying to reach some name I had never heard of before.  I've had my number for years and there is no reason to believe this other person would be here.

Got a call from a Natilie Moore looking for someone that we haven't seen in a long time and have no idea where she is at.  Told her that, she INSISTED I take her phone number JUST IN CASE.  Not real rude, but couldn't seem to get the idea what NO meant.  INSISTED our number was on the áccount', but wouldn't say what áccount'' it was.

Left a message about some type of debt or illegal charges made that they have tried to contact me about.  Threatening they would send authorities for me at my home or place of work.

Received two phone calls back to back speaking very fast and asking for son.  He has his own cell phone and never gives mine out.  He tried to call back and phone was not in use do to the weather.  That is when I started questioning.  Will now report it to police.

I also received a call from the company but it was not for me it was for my husband. I have experienced the same thing often but from other companies. I always google the number first and read the reviews/comments before I call. Thanks for sharing your stories.

WOW! you sound like tyler himself talking about it lol. i love it when collection reps get on sites like this to talk up how great they are. Sorry i dont buy it. as a matter of fact, Please tell me the address of the location that you walked your happy, broke ass into, to meet up with dream boat mcgee, and happily turn over your money? classic!

i do not know of any collections companies that will allow you to walk into an office to make payment lol they are secured tighter than [***], due to the fact of security with skitzos out there that woudl like to go postal.

They are legit..... unpaid medical bills get sent over to them. I wish they'd offer me a break on the bill! 7,000  for a surgery that went wrong.....and the hospital said it was taken care of, but now these people are looking for the money..... My call was from "Shawn Walker"

You are not gods gift to the earth! You bother the wrong people who happen to have a number from someone else before! They are innocent people! And debt collectors, and bill collectors are as much of scam artists like the overseas scammers who call. Your to high and mighty and take that job to seriously! Scammers just don't answer use call blocker they just keep coming they like scavengers looking to steal LOL!! ROFL!! @ them fools my call blocker blocks them and I don't have a clue they called until I look at all the calls they have made it just hangs up on them they I go later that day to see how many calls I have. Like they never called phone automatically hangs up ROFL!!! You idiots will learn haa haa haa!!!

Got a call from Rachel(?) Cain about an important business matter for a family member who passed away a few months ago.

Berlin Wheeler is a scam based company. This company calls looking for someone else. If you give them your name you will get a call days later asking to speak to you. They will say they are debt collectors. When asked to send information by way of fax they refuse. Also ask the which court system and Geographic location. They then hang up. I give them the name of local police enforcement and their address and phone number.

This sounds like a company employee talking about their boss.  Scammer reply.
