Received a text message, "Dear Customer we are sorry to inform you that we had to lock your Empower Federal Credit Union access. You can reactivate it by calling 1800-895-2085"

I already knew this was a scam, but I called the number anyway. An automated message told me to enter my credit card number, exp date, and pin, so I just mashed some keys. It told me my account was now activated. :P

I got the same text.At first I thought my Credit union had stopped my card.Then I reread it an saw the name of Empower FCU .Wich is not my CU. They are just a punch of ripoff scumdogs.8008952085 if you find a place that wants a number like insurance sales or siding sales put this number in.Is there some where to report these crooks to?

Just got a similar text message as described but read:
From: circaarts@sbcglobal.net (First National of Montana) Your First National of Montana accnt has been locked.  To reactivate call 18008952085.  Same number, diff message.  I've never even been to FNM

just received text on phone from mary-shelby@sbcglobal.net that my Franklin Banc (spelled banc!) account has been locked. call 1-800-895-2085.
1 - my Franklin Bank account was closed last year; 2: I'm no dummy!
