    Investigator 007
    I recieved a call from a fake ass investigator Clark from " the Warrant Inforcement Bureau" as his hillbilly ass said. who tells me that CPS is going to take my kids away from me if I don't pay  my tickets from 2001. Then the hillbilly tried to bully me into giving him my cc info after threatening to put me on warrant round up list. Do their stupid [***] not know that the statute of limitations for tickets is 7 years? I called Wilmer County myself and found out that I don't even have any warrants. So I don't know how he knew I had a ticket from that long ago! And far as him saying CPS will take my kids away? I'd love to see that happen Investigator Clark.. Comon' down to Wilmer and come try to take them urself so I can put a bullet right between your eyes..

    Wow! look who is stupid and can't even speak or type the English language correctly! Maybe if you would pay your bills like grown ups are supposed to to then maybe people wouldn't be calling you! By the way I'm not a cop I never claimed to be I am an investigator, there's a difference. If you were intelligent then maybe you would know the difference!

    If all these people and myself paid our bills, bill collectors who call themselves "Private Investigators" would be jobless. Thanks to us they have a job. This just comes to show you how bad they are at doing their job. They (Bill Collectors) have the worst customer service. If they new how to speak, respect, understand, and Listen, then maybe people would return phone calls. Don't leave messages with fake case numbers that don't even exist in the court records. You might intimidate people with your messages but...You sure as hell don't intimidate me! Dumb [***]! Your just a wannabe be so bad "Private Investigator" but in reality your JUST... a Bill Collector! Sorry your name didn't get on the wipe board, No Bonus for you. People! Don't let a stupid bill collector 'stress you out! You don't have to call them back. You don't have to answer their calls. Don't be afraid of the messages they leave. If you don't have the funds to pay, what the hell are they gonna do to you. Your credit is already [***] up how much worst can it get. Up to this date, you STILL have not been able to get a hold of me, so keep playing the "Private Investigator" part. Maybe...just maybe...someday you will get your name on the board! For now...keep on eating your twinkies while you sit behind your desk, fat [***]!

    Really "Franky"? I'm not a bill collector, I am an investigator, and the case # does exist in our office not in a court. Which we never said that it was a court case but that is what you assumed. As far as not being able to get in contact with you I am personally no longer working your case. As far as getting on the board I am "top" on board so keep thinking what you want hun. In response to your "fat" comment I am far from it, I don't sit here and eat twinkies all day (by the way those are disgusting) if you saw me you would be calling me back, believe that! As I said before I am not a bill collector I don't want your money, I am only hired to locate you because you are not man enough to put your big boy pants on and take care of your responsibilities!

    Skip chase is only locating outstanding debts for various agencies.  You are lucky they give you the opportunity to pay your fees and don't have to go inhouse to do it and without the embarassment of having the warrant roundup land at your work or home.

    First of all I think people should use a little more intelligence and proper grammar when posting their comments. All the foul mouth language really makes these people sound illiterate. We are in America and all this is just more proof that there is a break down in our whole way of life. We have lost all our morals and values. There is no respect for each other anymore. People need to remember that we are in recession. Everyone is falling on hard times. It may be that some of these folks are dead beats and others are simply choosing to put a home and food for their children first. There may be an illness.
    As for this collection agency. They are cruel and underhanded. They will reach their goal by any means possible. Not caring who or what they disturb or destroy in their cause. The fact is, they should get their facts straight before they begin their tasks. I have been contacted and harassed for weeks now and I am not even the person they are looking for.

    May a debt collector continue to contact you if you believe you do not owe money?
    A collector may not contact you if, within 30 days after you receive the written notice, you send the collection agency a letter stating you do not owe money. However, a collector can renew collection activities if you are sent proof of the debt, such as a copy of a bill for the amount owed.

    What types of debt collection practices are prohibited?
    Harassment. Debt collectors may not harass, oppress, or abuse you or any third parties they contact. For example, debt collectors may not:

    use threats of violence or harm;
    publish a list of consumers who refuse to pay their debts (except to a credit bureau);
    use obscene or profane language; or
    repeatedly use the telephone to annoy someone.
    False statements. Debt collectors may not use any false or misleading statements when collecting a debt. For example, debt collectors may not:

    falsely imply that they are attorneys or government representatives;
    falsely imply that you have committed a crime;
    falsely represent that they operate or work for a credit bureau;
    misrepresent the amount of your debt;
    indicate that papers being sent to you are legal forms when they are not; or
    indicate that papers being sent to you are not legal forms when they are.
    Debt collectors also may not state that:

    you will be arrested if you do not pay your debt;
    they will seize, garnish, attach, or sell your property or wages, unless the collection agency or creditor intends to do so, and it is legal to do so; or
    actions, such as a lawsuit, will be taken against you, when such action legally may not be taken, or when they do not intend to take such action.
    Debt collectors may not:

    give false credit information about you to anyone, including a credit bureau;
    send you anything that looks like an official document from a court or government agency when it is not; or
    use a false name.
    Unfair practices.
    Debt collectors may not engage in unfair practices when they try to collect a debt. For example, collectors may not:

    collect any amount greater than your debt, unless your state law permits such a charge;
    deposit a post-dated check prematurely;
    use deception to make you accept collect calls or pay for telegrams;
    take or threaten to take your property unless this can be done legally; or
    contact you by postcard.
    What can you do if you believe a debt collector violated the law?
    You have the right to sue a collector in a state or federal court within one year from the date the law was violated. If you win, you may recover money for the damages you suffered plus an additional amount up to $1,000. Court costs and attorney's fees also can be recovered. A group of people also may sue a debt collector and recover money for damages up to $500,000, or one percent of the collector's net worth, whichever is less.

    Where can you report a debt collector for an alleged violation?
    Report any problems you have with a debt collector to your state Attorney General's office and the Federal Trade Commission. Many states have their own debt collection laws, and your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights.

    I have received calls from two different people from this collection agency and I want to emphasize that they try very hard to sound like law enforcement.  They call themselves "investigator ..." and say "there is a case filed against you..."  Case number.....  All they are is a collection agency called "American Lenders" -- which is a ruse name to make people think when they look on the web that these people specialize in lending money or have something to do with mortgage loans etc.  If you look a little harder you will see they are nothing but little repo offices dotted all over the country.

    And sure, they coordinate with local sheriffs, because they all make money together.  Sheriffs are paid by the same banks, agencies and individuals (anyone can pay a fee to any sheriffs office and they will deliver just about anything you want) to collect, evict, deliver summons, warrants, divorce papers, and collect taxes.  Sheriffs were originally nothing more than tax collectors with the authority to seize property -- beyond that, in most places they are just county cops that handle some unincorporated areas.

    I used to work for these guys. Great place to work. I worked on  asset recovery, glad to  hear theyve branched out.

    One of my fondest memories was a guy who got a truck and never, ever paid a single payment. The bank looked for this guy for more than two years, and this guy just dodged them. Through some searching, I found out he played semi pro baseball and the team he was on had a website. A couple clicks later... I learned he was playing a game that night. I stopped on out after work, and sure enough ... there was the banks truck. We actually hooked it WHILE HE WAS AT BAT!!! LOL!!!

    Bottom line, these arent "crazy people". They are hard working men and women that have a job to do. If you dont want to hear from them, take care of your business.
