- BillBelieve the (800) 909-9095 x-4086 (file # 11377821) belonged to ARS but could not completely understand message on voice mail except the phone # was clear. I called, gave the file #, and they wanted to know who I was and the phone # I was calling from. When I asked what the company was, she told be by law she could not divulge that information. I thanked her for her time an hung up.
- Caller: ARS?
- millaLeft a message in a rather threatening tone of voice that he "Must speak to me". He gave his name as Steven a number to call (1-800-909-9095) with an extension (4082) and a file number, but no indication who the company was or what the call concerned. My husband called back and they still would not divulge what the purpose of the call was beyond that it was "regarding an application". I have not applied for anything in well over 6 months. no credit of any kind, no jobs, no new services- nothing.

- AmberCalled my family and threatened them and said that they had been trying to call me but I had never even received a message from them. Told my family untrue things about me. Telling them to call my lawyer.

- colonelReceived a call from a person that would not identify themselves or their company for my grandaugther...said they had a case file on her..were somewhat rude but left their number for her to call back....
- DWilsonReceived a call yesterday twice, never answered.
First I cross-referenced the number on the internet and found this.
Added to my Credit Fraud list of phone numbers to ignore.
Probably just another attempt at Credit Fraud or Identity Theft.- Caller: ARS
- BriannaThe first time I received a message from a guy, I called him back and asked questions but he would not divulge any information saying it was a personal matter for my sister and he could not legally tell me anything. I told him I would pass along the message. After telling my sister this, she pulled up information about it being a scam.
Then I received another message from a lady who I called back to let her know that this was a scam. At first when I was telling her the file number, she was very polite. Then I mentioned how I knew this was a scam and she needed to take my phone number off the list, she replied saying there are many ARS companies out there and they are not a scam. She got very heated but continued saying 'dear' and finally she just stopped talking. I told her I was going to file a complaint with the FTC and hung up.- Caller: ARS
- PopokilaniI have gotten several calls from ARS (always from a different phone number) I have caller ID that identifies the caller as ARS NATL SVC. They don't ever leave a message, but I call them back and tell them I don't know who they are calling, but it certainly isn't our family - our assets are in the millions. Asked them very nicely to please delete my number. Every single one of the people who answer the phone are VERY rude and tell me in no uncertain terms that I should change my phone number. We have had the same phone number for several years and have many friends and family.....I really don't think I should have to change my phone number....do you??? They have even hung up on me when I try to explain that they have the wrong number. One guy even told me that he couldn't find my number anywhere, so it is impossible for them to have called me. Well.....explain this......if they didn't leave a voicemail, how would I know what number to call back..........answer..........I have called ID. Not quite brain surgery.....but pretty close. I am going to have our attorney send them a cease and desist letter. If that doesn't work, I guess I will have to file a harrassment suit against the company.

- abcThanks to the posts above, I know now we can safely ignore this message. I was suspicious when the male caller garbled his own name (possibly Carl/Charles/Carlo), and the name of the person he was calling in reference to (not in our immediate family), but then was crystal clear on the number we could reach him at, his extension, and the case reference number. He was very insistent, as if he was a creditor.
- upsetCalled my husband, asking for me. I am a victim of ID theft. My husband told him I was unavailable (totally true) and repeatedly requested to take a message. Callers name was Steven & my husband finally hung up on him. Today, my daughter took the call as I was sleeping at 8 am- she was told by Tasha CAche to call me in regards to a lawsuit, gave her a 3 number extension, and told her that I needed to call back. I called the court to see what was going on & confirm that this was a scam. Guess what, I confused the court- no actions or lawsuits filed against me. Don't answer calls from this company & I am personally taking them to court for this.

- illinoisan| 1 replyReceived a message from (800) 909-9095 on machine just now. Speaks like he is an authoritative figure. "This message is in regards to so and so...I believe he put this number down as a point of contact". He then stated his name was Kurt Wagner and then gives out his phone number and then there is this 'call waiting' sound so that you can't hear his full extension that he gives. Then he states "when you return the call make sure you provide them with his file# of 99999999. Making it sound so very important....NOT. Thank god for these type of websites where you can just look out on the internet and see who is trying to scam who. Idiots.
- illinoisanTurns out, it really was a valid Collection Agency with a valid debt reason (my son). And the store was for Target. (So it is just not for Citibank). They were very rude and wanted payment immediately....but just hung up. First we had to validate their call because no written notices had been received. So this really was a valid call.
- tiredMtAnswered call as our attorney instructed us to so that we can take legal action as they've gotten cease & desist letters. ARS- Very rude- this time was a computer that stated Randy Cuffe needs to discuss "this matter" (?HUH, what matter?) with you right away. ID theft victim and fighting every company we can...Our attorney is lsmith@lpsmithlaw.com, or ablackwell@lpsmithlaw.com www.FairDebtFairCredit.com. Hope this helps someone else out also

- BobCalled and wanted my son to call him back. My son hasn't ever lived at this telephone number. I called back to ask what it was about and person very rude telling me he didn't have to disclose that. Told him since he wouldn't tell me I'm hanging up. Number called back a few minutes later and slammed phone down when I answered. Extension to call was 4207.

- MattWhat a joke. They keep calling and leaving a message to call back with a case #. On the second call they stated the ARS company but nothing more. I looked up the 800-909-9095 on the web and found this site. Thank goodness this exists. Is there nothing that can be done about this company? They need to put out of business. This is harassment in every sense of the word.
- IrritatedLeft a message on my home phone looking for (an inaudible name left) and to call 800-909-9095 and it was in regards to referrence # 15402017. Called and was on hold for over 10 minutes. Called from my cell and keyed in the referrence number and got a live person. Gave them the number and stated they couldn't find it. Asked for the number the call was placed to and I refused to give it. I asked them what type of business they were. I was told they were a financial business. I asked what kind, they stated they were in the billing department. I asked if they were a collection agency and I was told that it didn't matter since I was not giving them the number the call was placed to. I got pissed and hung up.
