- Matibob| 6 repliesTelemarker for Bank of America Insurance Services. We are (unfortunately) B of A customers, registered on the National Do Not Call List, and have requested for the last THREE months that Bank of America not contact us! We have informed them SEVERAL times that should we need their services, we will contact them. Evidently, they DO NOT LISTEN NOR COMPREHEND! Makes me think twice about banking with them!
- Caller: Bank of America
- Call type: Telemarketer
- User101I have had several calls from that number, but never answered. Sometimes 2 or more calls a day.
I read about others having the same problem. Since then I discovered that there is one sure way of getting them, or any other telemarketers. A combination phone and fax machine. When unwanted parties call and I don't answer, the fax machine enagages. The fax beep noises make all telemarketers stop calling. I got rid of about 5 of them this way instantaneously. - mp670thwifeI come home and find missed calls from this number. Several each day. I just keep my answering machine on and tell my family that I screen calls. I call back with *67 and there is no answer.
- donotpickup| 1 replyHad several calls from this number, even after requests to take my name & number off the list. I thought being on the National Do Not Call List would suffice. Guess not... wonder if Bank of America knew their annoying calls were turning away customers would make them stop!

- TW| 1 replyNot sure what the point of these call are since no-one ever answers. Is it really BofA as they claim when you call the number back??
- Caller: BofA

- JaniceI think telling them that the number on your account is a cell phone number helps. I did that and never (knock on wood) received a promotional call from them.
- ABThe easiest thing I ever did was forwarding the call to the same number 1-800-931-6317.
I think they will be annoyed very much when their call gets forwarded to themselves and won't trouble me as I am upset very much to receive at least 3 calls a day. - Ja1-800-931-6317 called my telephone that registered at 'do not call registry'
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Mary Youngreceived a call from you on 7-29-2008, I do not need any services from you and if I do I will call you....please do not call my number again.
- Jim| 1 replyI get a call aleast once a day from B&A card services I have told them I,m not interested and they still call.

- Fed Up Too replies to TWI called my phone service. The CSR told me that it IS B of A. He called the number and was given a set of options, one being to opt off the call list. He took me off the list at my request.
I think that the reason why there's no answer is that it's a rotary calling system that allows the system to call several numbers at a time. If someone answers the phone before you do, there's no one on the other end. - Fed Up Too replies to JimI called my phone service who, at my request, called the number and opted me out of the B of A telemarketing plan.
- TIRED OF THE CALLS-------CALL B OF A AND ASK IF THIS IS THERE NUMBER ANS THEY ADVISED ME THAT THERE NUMBERS BEGIN WITH 866 PREFIX FOR TOLL FREE?????? who knows what this is!!!

- AnonymousA couple things to note: First, companies are still allowed to call their customers even if they're on the Do Not Call list because you have an ongoing business relationship with them. I forget the exact verbiage used when it was explained on the DNC Registry site, but that's the gist.
Second, if you answer the call (or call the number yourself) you can opt out & it'll stop the calls altogether. It can take up to 7 business days for a number to be completely removed from their database, though.- Caller: Bank of America
