I get these calls regularly from Bank of America marketing. And interestingly, they call at my office number. I've told them many times that it's my work number but no rescue.

Bank of America is the worst bank I've ever banked with. I opened a bank account with free checking option but they started charging me huge monthly fees. Then I called them many times to fix that (each call has wait time of over 20 minutes or may be I call at wrong time - business hours). Now, still they are charging me service fees (lucky, they have reduced it now). I'll call them again and see...

Good answer.  Following the link provided it does look like you can opt out.  Still think Bank of America is an a## for all the calls.  Now their system says wait 12 weeks and we should be removed.

Called and asked for "Shirley" - not my name, close but no banana. If it's BofA and their insurance, man they just got a cussin' from the husband for taking money out they had no right to - $19.99 for the past 3 months. Cant explain how they got the acct # or the permission. If they want some more of Big John, call again. I think I'll call then back right now. LATER: I called the number back: recording said "Leave your number if you want to be removed from the call list." So I did.

I receive a call daily from 800 931 6317.
And, what it is, is that they continually ask for this Korean
guy who I am completely unfamiliar with...never met the man in my life.
Please stop calling about him.

Lotsa 1-800-931-6717 on my caller ID for weeks. I called a B of A number that is designed for privacy issues only: 1.888.341.5000. I gave him the number. He asked what was said . I said that I have not talked to the telemarketers but that millions of people online are annoyed at calls from this number. He put me on hold, then came back and asked me for the number and my number. I gave both to him and then he said he would have me taken off the list. I forgot to ask how long it would take. One poster said 12 weeks. Let's hope it's much sooner.

Simply terminate B of A service - very easy.  There is no other way around!

Rec'd call on Jan 2, 2009 @ 6:18PM MST.  I didn't answer this call and they didn't leave a message.  I called back and it's for some kind of Insurance offer through B of A.  I am a customer with Bank of America so the DNC does not apply unless I ask them not to call again.  But I'm annoyed that they would stoop to this kind of solicitation.

February 3, 2009 12:57 PM MST & February 4, 2009 4:31PM MST, and today February 6, 2009 10:22 AM MST all show up on the caller ID as Bank Of America.  I answered one of these calls on February 4th and they asked for Michelle Booker who is someone that previously had my number, however, I've had this number since Apr 2007 and it is on the DNC.  They said that since Michelle has an account with BofA that they have business with her and therefore the call is not covered by the DNC.  The woman I spoke to said that BofA was offering insurance, and tried to solicit me.  I told her I was not interested and to please stop calling.  She said she would remove my number from their calling list but it would take up to 30 days.  I guess there policy is to call twice a day to someone who already advsd they are not interested.  What idiots!

I've received calls from them forever and after repeated requests to remove us, it's taken me Googling the # to find out about the opt out option on their website. Silly me, I thought speaking to a CSR and being assured that it was removed was enough. I've printed everything out and will give them their 12 weeks since I've been with them for 13 years but will close my account and move elsewhere if I receive any calls beyond that.

2-13-09 Bank of America telling me that as a B of A customer I will $100,000 of accidental death insurance. I am not a B of A customer.  Here is my list of 163 unwanted telemarketer calls since May of 2008. I looked each on up on this and other sites. Print and put by your phone and don't answer.

Calls from this number multiple times a day.  Bank of America also uses 866-484-8278.  I hung up on 800-931-6317 and within 30 seconds I rcv'd a call from 866-484-8278.

I despise Bank of America for constantly calling everday, multiple times a day for probably a year now.

Rec'd another call yesterday March 3, 2009 1:38 PM MST from ph# 866-315-7101.  After the first 6 times they call, I contacted Bank of America and had them take my number of of Ms Booker's account.  Then had them opt me out of special offers on my own account, and I had already told them not to call me again, plus I had already made it clear that I wasn't interested in insurance.  So why they called again is beyond me.

What I do know is that since I spoke to them on February 4th and they told me it would take 30 days for my number to be taken off their list, it will be covered under the DNC if they call me after March 6th, 2009.  And you'd better believe if they do call after that date I will be reporting it.

Rec'd another call from them yesterday March 10, 2009 from 866-315-7101, but did not notate the time of the call.

I called Bank of America 3-way which had previously informed me that these were fraudulent calls.  Now that I had a BofA rep on the line and a rep from the so called "Bank of America Insurance Services" the Bank of America rep told me that they couldn't confirm that it was fraudulent.

The woman that said she was from the insurance department said that they were a 3rd party calling on behalf of Bank of America and that her company name is Global Contact Services.

She said they were offering accident insurance for automobile accidents.

I was then told that my number would be removed once and for all considering they have been calling for someone that is not me and that my phone is on the DNC and they shouldn't have called me to begin with.

I'm going to be giving a call to Global Contact Services and the FTC to confirm all this.
