Got 2 calls in a row from them.  They didn't leave a message.  Got these calls on new cell phone.  Anyone know who they are?

I am still getting calls from this number.  They have started calling on both my cell and home number.  They call several times a day.  When I answer an automated voice tells me to hold on for the next available person.  This is very irritating on my cell phone.  I called them back on my home phone and found out that they are MRS Associates.  They told me they were calling for someone I have never even heard of.  They are debt collectors and you can find them on mrs.com They are supposed to take my home number off their list.  We'll see..  I was so mad I forgot to give them my cell number to take off their list..  Look up their website, it is very informative about the ways they have of looking people up ..   even tho they keep calling the wrong people over and over.

how did you find out that it was MRS Asssociates... they have been calling me as well... for some one i don't know as well.

Received a call today from this number but it was a computer talking and could not trace the source of the call so I went to google. I don't know who they were trying to reach but my number is unlisted and I pay $ for that service.  These people should be put out of business.

MRS Associates is a debt collection agency, who earn their money by buying debts own to loan companies. I personnel think the government should outlaw them or at least pass a law that says they can not harass people whom do not owe the debt.
In our case, LTD Financial Service made a loan to someone, that used our name as a reference, but never called us. Had they called we whould have told them if they made the loan, they could kiss their money GOODBYE. The loan is over 5 years old, and since they are unable to collect it from the person who made the loan, LTD bugged use for about 2 months, leaving messages on our answering machine. The wife informed them that that person did not live here and please discontinue to call. The calls didn't stop until one of our daughters answered the phone, and threaten them with a law suit. Didn't hear from them again, but  MRS Associates started bugging us 2 months later.
I looked up the number on the internet, and in the process, I found a company (law firm) that handles these type of cases. I gave our problem, they reviewed it and took the case. They got MRS Associates off our backs in less than a week. (Of course MRS Associates (I assumed) sold it to another collection agency. And we got a call from that number. Reported the number to the law firm, and that call quit.

okay this is MRS, they are debt collectors...they told me they were looking for someone named Betty...my names is John, there is no Betty here and never has been. I told her she was a liar and that I've had this number for 15 years...she said my name would be removed. I urge everyone to contact the ftc.

These people gave me a hard time several years ago over one of those deals where you get three free issues of a magazine, if you like it you can sign up, if not no obligation. There wasa year long lapse between my declining the offer after my free issues. The magazine stated I was never in bad standing with them and they had no idea why a bill collector would be calling. They did not send me a letter first as law requires, the refused to give me their address to senda cease and decist letter...the callswere coming 2-5 timesaday, I was mocked on the phone and everything they didwas illegal...please notify the ftc if calls persist...they did put an end to it last time...but they are predators.

I keep getting calls from this # while I am working but I can never answer it and when I called it back it was a recording for MRS services. They never leave a message but they call several times a day and it is really annoying.I registered my cell number at www.donotcall.gov so hopefully that works.

I have been getting calls from this number for several weeks and still have no idea who they were until today when for the very left a message. Later I received an email from my ex of over 17 years that they had called him! I do not have any accounts that I would have used him as a reference or have had for that length of time!

same caller different number 800-932-4950,,Rude representative on the phone, wants your info but won't reveal any of theirs.
Says the call is in reference to a very important business matter.

this MRS is a joke. i had a debt that i paid off and settled with another company in oct. 07. in march this year, this MRS started calling me EVERY day, leaving messages or recorded messages (yes, very annoying on a cell phone!) anyways, i have sent and faxed them numerous copies of my debt release letter from the company i settled with and the calls from MRS won't stop. i don't know what else to do. any advice?

The call I got was from MRS Associates - a collection agency, but the number was different: 1-800-932-4950. It was a computer voice that asked if I was Barbara K....... if not, to please hang up. It also said that by continuing to listen to the message acknowledges that I am Barbara K..... and to contact them with information about a debt. I would guess that by listening to the message they will be calling again. We'll see...

WE HAVE BEEN GETTING THE SAME CALLS FROM MRC ASSOC., BUT FROM A DIFFERENT NUMBER 888-274-9610.  I TALKED WITH THEIR agent AND HE AGREED THEY HAD NO PERSONAL BUSINESS WITH US.  I ADVISED HIM TO STOP CALLING HERE, HOWEVER, THE NEXT MORNING THEY BEGAN AGAIN, SEVERAL TIMES A DAY.  CALLER ID IS NEAT.  I FILED A COMPLAINT OVER THE NET WITH FCC/COMPLAINTS AND WAS ASSIGNED A TRACKING NO.  THE MORE THEY GET INQUIRIES THE MORE THEY WILL RE-ACT.

THE ABOVE IS NOT THE PHONE NUMBER THAT HAS BEEN CALLING ME.  THEY CALL FROM 1 888 274-9610.  THEY SEEM TO BE SKIP TRACING SOMEONE WITH MY LAST NAME. COULD BE ANYBODY.  THEY AGREE I DO NOT HAVE ANY BUSINESS DEALINGS WITH THEM. EVERY TIME I TRY REPEATABLY TO CALL THEM BACK, THE PHONE DIES WHEN AN agent COMES ON THE LINE. GO FIGURE. IT SEEMS THAT THEIR PHONE SYSTEM IS JAMMING UP SOMEHOW. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE FTC AND FCC.  WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
ANOTHER COMPANY HAS BEEN CALLING WITH AN IDENTICAL EXPERIENCE.  THAT IS ASSET ACCEPTANCE, PHONE 1 813 529-0810.  I THINK THEY ARE TRADING INFO AMONGST THEM AS TODAY I WAS CONTACTED BY YET ANOTHER ONE, FIRST NATIONAL CREDIT BUREAU OUT OF RENO NV. PHONE 772 829-3790, I ADVISED JEAN TO REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM THEIR ROLADEX.  WE'LL SEE

I CONTINUE GETTING CALLS FROM THESE LOW LIFES. THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS WITH ME BUT CALL MY PERSONAL PHONE.  I HAVE LEARNED TO LAY DOWN THE PHONE TO USE UP THEIR AGENTS TIME UNTIL THEY FINALLY HANG UP.  AGENTS ARE PROBABLY BEING PAID BY THE CALL AND ERODING THEIR TIME MEANS LESS PHONE TIME FOR THEM AND FEWER CALLS CAN BE MADE.  HIT THEM IN THE POCKET.

I keep getting calls from MRS Assoc . The last was from Margaret Goldberg at 888 274 9847.They are looking for my daughter but will not tell me why so I will not give them any information. Today I told Margaret that I considered this harassment and would report them if I heard from them again. We will see!

My office phone rings the caller id says 800-932-5573 with no name or title attached.  If It go's to voice mail the caller hangs up and my home phone rings within seconds as well.  I picked up the home phone and the person ask for a member of my household, I ask if they just called the office and the person ignored me and ask for the person again. I put the phone down and stated loud enough for the caller to here that I was going to just leave the phone on the counter and let them hold since the could not answer my questions back and I was under the impression that hey could not hang up on me first.  The person yelled "Oh Yes I can" and did so.  Seconds later the phone rang again and the person stated with sarcasm "I can hang up on you as I did and now that I have confirmed I am calling the right number I got what I needed"  The person then hung up on me.  These people call daily and some times as much as six and eight times during the day and yet they hang up on the answering machines.  I intent to mail a letter telling these people that I refuse to deal with a second party collection company "my right by law" and they are to stop contacting me. It must be done in writing.
