- San FranciscoA computer called me today at 8:30am and later during lunch. It says it has an important call but it does not identify the company, and it tells you to press "1.". I spoke to an extremely rude agent who wanted to confirm all of my personal information but she refused to give me her company's address. She constantly interrupted me and wanted to collect the money. I hung up on her, and then called the company back and got their address from someone else.

CHECK YOUR CREDIT REPORT, SOMEONE MAYBE TRYING TO STEAL YOUR IDENITY. YOU CAN GET YOUR FREE CREDIT REPORT FROM WWW.ANNUALCREDITREPORT.COM. IF THEY ASK FOR A CREDIT CARD YOU ARE AT THE WRONG WEBSITE. - YakkitteerI received a call from MRS ASSOC requesting contact with my daughter. I informed them that she doesn't live with us. The person on the phone asked if I could give them her number, and for privacy reasons, I declined. He insisted and I told him once again that my daughter (who is an adult 26-YO), no longer lives with us and does not live at my address. I promptly hung up the phone. Within another 2 minutes, they (STEVE) called again and stated that he had an important message for (MY DAUGHTER's) "FATHER", and gave his return number. Since my daughter no longer resides with us, I passed the info to my daughter and declined to return the call. About 2 weeks later, I found a debit against my wife's bank account for close to $468.00 which was payable to "MRS ASSOC". This left her with an account balance of less than $100.00. The account is now overdrawn because my wife had charged over $150.00 to her account that has not been received by the bank yet. My wife does not know of any transactions with MRS ASSOC. I plan to persue this and will go to court if necessary. My wife's account has nothing to do with my daughters finances.
- CJSMRS & Associates called my number repeatedly, but their calls came from (757)337-4426 (my local area code, not from a 1-800 number. I asked them to remove my phone number from their list...to no avail so far :(

- Amphion 13We get the same phone calls from MRS Associate as the rest of you do, all day long.
And as the same as the rest of you, we have caller ID. When we see their number appear, we just laugh at them and let them spin their wheels, along with their time and money. When they start to invade our privacy, we will then be forced to contact the Federal District Attorney's office. Since they are located in Pa and we are not, their harassing methods to all of us, is probably a Federal offense.
Good luck to all.- Caller: MRS Ass.

- DavidIts too bad that more people don't take these companies to small claims court. If these companies had to fly or contract lawyers all over the country to respond to small claim court filings, the profitability of their business model would plummet.

- Pesky CI too have been getting calls from M>R>S> Associates but different #'s and never leave a message.. I had to research to find out who was calling and still don't know why they are calling. The two #'s they are using is
206-962-3841
206-962-3890
An honest company with honest business,
would ID them self's,
leave a message who they are calling for and
in regards too what,
with a call back number and
the name of a person to speak with and
if in connection with any account, past present or delinquent, an account # to refer to..!
If they can't do that, they are not a honest trusted company conducting legal business in the USA
Fair debt collection agency anyone, learn your rights and fight back..!- Caller: M>R>S> Associates

- Jud| 1 replyI am so tired of these people calling me as I don't know why they are calling and now they started calling my daughter asking for my husband. They stated her name was listed as next of kin. I NEVER put my children down as a reference for anything - I have a feeling they are using social media like Facebook to find out relatives. This makes me want to remove my kids as relatives and put only as friends

- BigA replies to JudCriminals masquerading as debt collectors attempt to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged (they use the bad check or hot check claim a lot) and go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished without actually being sued or going to court, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money. They will use the words “Mediator”, “Arbitrator”, or “Law Office” to make you believe that they are something other than a debt collector want-a-be and that they don’t have to follow Federal and State collection laws. They do have to follow those laws, but they won’t. They mention that they have received a Fax document, to create the sense of urgency. They also tell you that if you fail to call them back you are "waiving your right to council", which is pretty much nothing but hogwash. They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer). Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them. Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else.

- BigA replies to RichLooks like your knowledge is actually the most useless, worthless thing on the planet. Compounding the fact that you are replying to a 12 year old post and expecting that person to see your ridiculous reply is the fact that the registry does not, has never, and will never have anything to do with debt collection calls which is what these calls are. Had you learned to read you would have known that because it is clearly explained over there. Congress has even given you a law that has been on the books since 1977 to cover calls such as this. Again, had you learned to read and to use a search engine you could have easily found that out. What's that saying? "People that live in glass houses should not throw stones!"
