Although this is ten years later. Scammers have been able to call you through this number pretending to be Chase bank. Just happened to me. Don't give them any information.

I got 9 calls from this number today. When I finally answered they told me my card was being used in Miami.  He starting asking questions, I hung up and called the 800 number on the back of my card.  That fraud department showed no unusual charges on my account.  While on the phone with Chase, I got a text about yet another charge attempt, which Chase again said was false.  I think 9935 number is indeed suspicious. I locked my card and Chase is aware of what has happened. I don't think it's legit.

This appears to be a relatively new crew of scamming scum operating out of the Orange county area. While they are using mostly foul smelling rodents to man their phones, the ring leader of this circus is definitely a white male with barely Simian intelligence. With this crew of Bozos, it's not will they be caught, just a question of when.

They left a message in mandarin but they did say chase in English. Not sure what they needed or wanted since I can't understand it.

I've read through all of the callers comments.  I also found a Fraud from Chase stating that yes the number is the same as theirs but scammers are phishing by using their number to make calls to people, like me, who have never had a chase credit card, checking account, or whatever.  All they are trying to do is get personal information from you.  So if you don't have any business through Chase, don't answer or call back.  If you do have Chase than I'd still be wary if giving any personal information.  Most banks, or lending institutions don't call to ask that.

With the number of complaints why isn't the number being closed out and the individuals owning the number place in jail for fraud?  How may statements from individuals are needed for action to be taken to stop the Scam attacks?

I was told on my Chase receipt to call this number. It actually is the same as the number on the back of my card.

Why did your receipt tell you to call this number? And why are you even here? Do you often look up known phone numbers when there's no logical reason to do so?

Please read if you have the same issue I'll try to keep it short. I got a debit card from chase telling me to activate a card to an account I don't even have. I have 1 bank and it's not them. Called the number on the card for the "fraud department". I was weary it was either a scam or someone stole my ID. Anyway after I called she told me my SSN was compromised. Obviously freaked out I said I want to close the account. I was on hold and she transferred me to the fraud department. A different lady answered (phone connection constantly breaking up) and said to close the account I needed to give my FULL SSN, email, home address, full name and birthday, and driver license. Yeah no obvious scam in my opinion. Banks never ask for all of that to close an account especially one I didn't open in the first place. Anyway that's my verdict but to double check I am going in to an actual branch. I would not trust this "fraud department." They could easily have everything set up to trick you including a website. I recommend Jim Browning on youtube he definitely helped me be more careful of scams.
