- Amy S. WebbThese peoples call me every week and I have never had a credit card in my life. I’m so sick of these people. You block them and they crest a different number to call from. If you can please help me stop these scammers.

- Mark SThe FTC literally has more than 3,800 consumer complaints about this scammer spoofing Chase Card Services, but they have never taken action to shut these folks down or investigate or prosecute them. At my house, the scammers start with this number, and the follow up with several calls spoofing my area code and NXX. I've filed more than 60 complaints with the FCC and FTC about these credit card scammers as spoofing is a federal crime under the Truth in Caller ID Act of 2009 when the calls are made wit fraudulent intent.
I even called my do-nothing AG, my do-nothing Republican Congressman and even more do-nothing Democrat Senator to complain that federal agencies charged with enforcing the laws do absolutely nothing. In my state (Colorado), literally 39,000 people each year are scammed by these folks or similar telemarketing criminals. Average loss is around $1,000, but these are crimes that no one on the taxpayer dole charged with law enforcement does anything about. Imagine how people would feel if a gang of criminals kicked in doors and stole $1,000 from 39,000 victims. But, stealing with a phone? Not a crime anyone cares about. I guess ether (1) scammers working from a boiler room in India or other 3rd world country are smarter than the bureaucrats in DC and/or (2) the folks in DC who draw a taxpayer salary do actually do anything.- Caller: Chase Card Services

- Kat replies to Amy Webb| 1 replyIf it was "an actual Chase call" why did you mark the call type as "Scam suspicion"? And why did you contradict yourself by posting your first message after this one? Methinks you're part of the scam.
- Notachump replies to No nameScammers trying to use more sophisticated methods. No one calls for any reason and blatantly asks for SS#, Card#, etc. That's the bottom line. If you do really question their illegitimacy ~ call the customer service number on the back of any card you have. Never respond to these calls or answer them. It just gives them reason to continue. They are miscreants and I wish someone in Authority would do the public a service and prosecute them. Pressure our Law Enforcement, Senators, Congressmen, and Phone service providers. NO ONE DESERVES THIS!
- NotachumpSeveral calls a day stating they are from Chase Visa. Confirmed they are NOT. Asking for SS#, last 4 digits of card#, etc. All of the earmarks of filthy thieving scammers. BEWARE!

- Nimrod replies to MelissaI can understand your aggravation and desperation to get the calls to stop, but making that request here is a useless effort. The people that run 800notes.com have no connection to the scammers that are calling you and cannot relay your message to them. The visitors that come to this site and read your post have no power to get the scammers to stop. If one of the scammers were to come to this site and read your post they would simply laugh at your naivety. At least you were not foolish enough to post your number here.
If you had read through the 47 pages of posts that preceded yours, you would have discovered that this is not Chase bank making these calls. The calls come from scammers/criminals/the scum of the earth (take your pick) and are probably operating from some country outside of the United States or Canada.
If they are calling your cell phone, you can do what I have done in the past – assign a silent ring to any caller that is not in your contacts list (the default ringtone) and let them roll over to voicemail. They may still call, but you will not hear it. Ignoring the calls will tend to get them to stop over time. - lisaoffering lower interest rate credit cards

- On do not call listCall came in through a local number. Again. On my cell phone! We are on the Do Not Call list. The guy was from another country. Said his name was Mark. Was trying to offer a lower rate on credit cards. I asked him politely to remove our name because we do not take any soliciting calls. He said it was not a soliciting called but that it was coming through consumer services. I asked him what bank. He said all of them. I asked him for a phone number as he kept persisting. He gave me 800 - 945 - 2000. He said he got it through Experian. I finally had to hang up on him as he would not stop.

- DanCyber-criminals are now spoofing legitimate financial institution phone numbers. If you receive a call from any institution, it's safest to hang up and to call the institution back directly using a phone number you know is good, like from your bill, even if it's the same number that is calling you. Then you can be assured you are speaking to your institution.

- IonaTOTAL SCAM - Caller ID said Chase Card Svcs (a spoof) - we have a Chase credit card account so I answered thinking it was a fraud alert. A recording said something about lowering the rate by pushing "1" - I was curious enough so I pushed "1" and someone with a heavy accent started pitching a lower rate for my card - when I asked him which card he was referring to he said something like "your Chase Visa/MasterCard". Since I don't have a MasterCard I became suspicious and waited to hear the pitch which was prefaced by telling me 1) that I always pay my bill on time (yes) and 2) that I currently had about a $4000 balance across my cards (no). At this point I told the guy that I didn't believe it was a legitimate call and to remove my number from his calling list and then I hung up. I immediately called Chase and was told that they have a new policy of no longer reaching out to their customers by phone regarding lowering rates. The representative said she was going to forward the information to their security folks and she also said they were going to place a heightened security watch on my account. Bottom line - there are so many scams out there these days, so if you get a call and the caller ID says Chase Card Services or the name of whatever banks you deal with, let it go to voice mail (chances are they won't even leave a message). Then call your bank yourself using the customer service phone number on the back of your card and ask them if they were the ones who just called you (chances are REAL good that they did not).

- SurrealThis number called me today and didn’t leave a message on my landline. With encouragement from intellius, I dialed it back. The recording stated that it was Chase card services. I do not have an account with Chase. I haven’t for over 15 years. This is spam or a scam. Do not answer…
