We keep getting these _______ (rude colorful language deleted) calls.  Day and night... It has gotten so bad at times that I just unplug the phone.  Its pure harassment.  The problem is they have the wrong number but just don't seem to care.  I think these folks must get paid by the number of calls they make.

I did get a live person one time out of a thousand and the woman stated she was calling for Alisha Soliday.

I explained to her I had no idea who that was she did not live here.  The woman insisted that this was Alisha Solidays residence.  Now you called me I know where I am - I am in my own home this has been my phone number for decades and I do not know this person.  Reply this is her number.  Idiots!

They just keep calling and when I answer they hang up.

For the person saying just pay your bills - You can not correctly assume that your assumptions universally apply.  In doing so you are making the same error as these folks.

I work in collections and guess what the information provided is not always 100% correct.

Someone from India asking for me by name and asking to verify that I am me over and over.  I asked who they were and they said it was a business call for (my name).  I finally gave up and told them no, it wasn't me.  The thick accent and the the line was breaking up.  Hire american, maybe I'll answer.

Called my cell.   Said something about paypal, couldn't make out the rest of the conversation because of the accent. (I don't have a paypal account.)  Had my name, though.  I asked for the phone number he was calling from and that was the end of the call.  This was the number displayed on my phone.

I got a call saying I owed money on my PayPal credit card. I have a $0 balance. When I said I would check on line the girl told me she could erase a $20 late fee if I paid on the phone using a credit card. Hmmm

Thanks Amy- The true part of the con. Gotta do it now, it's in your best interest, it can all be solved....if you act now! Don't think about it, just do it. Classic scam! Credit card, Paypal, Western Union, GreenDot are always involved.

Think this could be a scam
This number kept showing up on my phone, never identifying itself but instructing to call back at certain times.  I was told I had an outstanding balance on a card, not related to GE at all, that I was sure I did not have. They told me it was my Amazon card.  I checked my account and there is no balance. She wanted me to give her bank informtation over the phone to "take care of it".  The voice appeared to be Indian (as was mentioned in other posts).

Not true, this agency, along with dozens of others, are looking for my ex-wife (I divorced her 8 years ago & havent seen her since), who has never paid a bill in her life, but wont answer their calls, so they trace her back to me. They leave me alone once I explain this, but first must endure many calls at all hours before someone ever actually speaks to me. I've lost hundreds of hours of sleep to these [***].

This was a call from GE Money. It was for my Amazon account for which I missed a payment.

It was a pretty painless operation. I made the payment over the phone, they didn't ask for a SSN or anything like that.

GE Money manages credit card programs for about 30 various retailers. If you've got (or had) a credit card from any of these stores, you might hear from GE Money. Here's a link to a list if those retailers...

Been recieving many calls from this number, even after the first called I said there is no such person living here.  To say the least they had called starting at 8:03 in the morning.  I just got done with another one,  Again explained this in not who they are looking for.  Claims they use a data base, when asked how does this data base work when they are looking up another person with a whole different name and I had this number for years.. Saga went on and told them they are being recorded and they promised no more calls will come here.. We shall see, as I told them they will be sued, ready for that if one more call comes here.  They didnt say they were a collection agency either kept saying it was Walmart.  English on their part was poor.  Oh as far as the data base goes that had to be bogas as well, because it was not told to me how they are getting someone with a whole different name I asked to do you just call every number out there, no reply was given.

A man phoned our home to tell us that our Shell Card was late and DEMANDED I give him 198.00 right then and there.  WRONG!  My payment was not late and GE does not service Shell Cards, Citi bank does.  I told him I had to research  my payment. He kept telling me my payment was late and of course it was not late.  He explained I had to pay by Friday, no exceptions.
Well, for you out there checking this...DO NOT Give any money to a company that phones you!  You phone your company that he is calling you about from your phone and the nice Customer Service Rep will help you.
DO NOT GIVE THESE CREEPS YOU MONEY!  They are just scamming you and they tried to scam me but I Won!

So I got a call from this number today saying it is a debt collector calling about my GE Captial Credit Card.  GE Capital is the company who hosts my JC Penny Card and so I called the number back, even though I have a zero balance on my card and I've always paid it on time.  After pressing 0 through the prompts to finally get to a customer service rep to talk to them, I get hung up on.... several times in fact.  So, I called the JC Penny Credit Card number affiliated with my card, only to be told by one of their folks that this is a SCAM purported by a company who is fraudulently using their name to try to gather consumer data.  The request for you to type in your account number at the beginning is a false way to try to gather your credit card account data.  I suggest that anyone who receives this call, report it to whichever company ACTUALLY hosts your GE Capital Credit Cards.

I keep getting calls from this number but when I answer no one is there. Finally this afternoon when I answered, a man with an accent asked for my daughter, who hasn't lived here for yrs. When asked if I knew the person he was inquiring about, I said no, he apologized and hung up. I WOULD like to know if it's a legit company calling....

Have received several calls from this number, usually they hang up when I answer. I have no idea who is making these calls. Today when I answered their call, someone WAS there and asked to speak to someone who know longer lives here...I said I didn't know said person, he apologized and hung up. Seems fishy to me...

Please just mail the information that is needed. I have recently been widowed and am doing my best to get all the finances in order. My husband's death has left me with quite a bit of debt and I am doing all that I can to meet his and my debts.
Do not call my number again.
    Thank you.

After getting calls all day today from 800-945-6596, I decided to answer the phone.  Got connected right away to a person from India.  He asked for "Deann Young".  I told him that no has lived at this address for at least 5 years.  He said he would take my number off of their list.  Let's see if this works.

They are trying to get money if you had an Amazon.com card. I had problems with Amazon & not being able to find a way to pay them online. I would call several numbers, get the run around just to pay a bill. I finally asked them to send me a paper bill, which they send 4 wks. later, making it to where I had a late charge. When that particular bill came, I had just had emergency sugery. I'm not able to work right now & I called a lady on this number. She asked about my child support (I get $80 2x's/mo... that's it). But she got snotty with me and told me she'd waive a $3? fee if I paid $50 now. Ok... let's see: I pay her 50 of my 80, which leaves me with 30 for 2 wks. So, you may ask, why did you get the Amazon card? For college books. The ONLY time I was behind on a payment was when it took 2 extra weeks to get the paper statement I ASKED for... I was charged over $30 for a late fee that was NOT my fault. Never again will I use Amazon services, and all the people I know, including students & profs., will hear of this, too.
