WHO is this????

keeps calling; number incoming is 352 area code and gives an 800-954-7184 OR it may come through on your phone as 954-378-5000.................all the same person/company.  Makes is hard to block when they use several #'s  Anyone know who this is????

This number also calls me from a 828-348-7680 dont know who they are either, just wish they would leave message

Message does not identify caller or company -  just says "Please call me back at 800-945-7184, I have an urgent personal message for you".

I am also receiving these calls. it comes in as one # but is another.

Recording keeps calling our company -- they are calling from 954-714-6286, and are dialing a non-working number that forwards to the switchboard. Says "call 800-945-7184 regarding important personal business".
That number is owned by:

They're a debt collector. They spoof other numbers trying to make sure they can get you on the phone. They called me from (443) 650-5382. I didn't answer.

Spoofing is, in some cases, illegal but it's hard to know without knowing if they're legit or scam. If they're a scam - it's illegal.

Amerifinancial Solutions (#800 945 7184) sent me a letter with a refund check for me to cash due to an overpayment.  Next paragraph says they are a debt collector collecting a debt, so of course I am not going to cash the check.  There is no reference to what debt they are going after---I have no idea who, what or how much.  Called twice, on hold for total of an hour and both times when a rep finally answered, I was disconnected.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
