Received a call to our landline from this number today (28 Jan 2018) at 11:20 am (Central Time.) Caller ID: Toll Free Call. Didn't answer. Message left. The message must have begun as soon as our voice mail greeting began because it was only partially recorded. I think the message was a recorded one. It had a female voice saying it was an important message from Capital One and giving this number to call back: 866-953-7906. Needless to say, I did not call the number back. I did look up the number on 800notes: https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-866-953-7906/14 . It seems to be another credit card information scam.

Message left on voicemail, stating it was Capt 1. I called the number a lady answered. I told her I was returning call.
I do have an acct with capt 1.
She asked me for my SS# and Capt.1 acct #.
I told her absolutely not , if she was with Capt you would have that info ...
Dead silence ...

They have been calling my phone every day for months and I've never answered as i don't like answering unknown calls especially 800 numbers. The voicemail they leave says to call them back about a very important business matter with capital one. I have no affiliation with capital one. They call at any hour of the day and it's really annoying.

There is no reason for Capital one to call me.  I have been getting these calls for over a year.  Tonight I called My Capital One and they gave me an email to send to them with the number:  abuse@capitalone.com

Wow, 82 pages of complaints?!  This number has phoned several times, and when I pick up, there is a recording in progress.  The call volume here is too heavy to fully listen to robocalls, so I just hang up and move on to the next incoming.  Sounds the same as Juanaquena's -- a woman with an important message from Capital One and a return number.

Calls me 3-4 times a day too; even on Sunday.. I don’t pick up and I turned off message machine so even if someone on other end, can’t leave message. I’m canceling my phone because changing number won’t work.

That person posted here 11 years ago.  If you owe them money, they will continue to call.  If you don't owe them money, then a certified, return receipt letter telling them to stop calling you would be your best option.

I keep getting called by this number and I am usually busy when it calls so it goes to voicemail but one time I answered and it said it was "Brenda" from capital one or something like that. All I know is that I want it to stop. They call almost every day and sometimes even a couple times a day.

I’ve gotten numerous calls from this number, It won’t stop. I don’t answer because I know it’s spam but they leave a voicemail saying, hi this is ___ from capital one, blah blah bla, please call us back at +1 800 955 6600

800-955-6600 is a fraud call. Left me over 20 messages while I was out for a week on a work trip. They are not with Capital One. I spoke with the fraud people at Capital One and they are aware and working on it.

Had a voicemail from this number but my phone never rang. Voicemail stated it was Ashlyn calling from capital one on a recorded line, then she states her “EID number is ZRY711” (she kind of mumbled, perhaps intentionally, at that part but that’s what it sounded like she said) and says she is calling me in regards to a “personal business matter”. Sounded sketchy and based on these reviews I blocked the number.

It's not a scam, it's a collections attempt.

Caller claims to be from Capital One, calls into my place of work and asks for a specific employee. When questioned what the call is in regards to, they state it's a personal matter that can only be discussed with that individual. When told that person is not in and I can take a message/transfer them to their voicemail, they decline and state they will call back at another convenient time.

Simple solution.  Tell them that employee is not allowed to receive personal phone calls at work and that they are not allowed to call again.  Then follow that up with a letter on a company letterhead, which should be sent certified, return receipt.
