Took an act of congress, but we finally got it resolved and he hasn't received another call

I've been receiving calls from 1-800-955-6600 for about a month and they will not stop calling, I have tried to talk to customer service but right before they can settle it, they put me on hold and hang up while I'm waiting. This is becoming an annoyance and there are times when I can not sleep because they call in the middle of the night.

I get call from this company as well but I never answer as far as I now it a some kind of collection company calling for one of my accounts this account I have with them. I am getting in the position of taking care of all of my debts and collection company and all debts soon enough.

They have been calling my 15yr old sons cell phone since January. We have called several times to have his number taken off of whoevers accoun. They called again this morning. I again told them to take his number off the account and told them that I have an attorney. Preceeded to tell them that if they were to call one more time, the attorney was going to file harassment charges. No more than 15 minutes they call again. I called them back and told them that Monday morning the attorney was starting the papers. They got all mad and started raising their voice at me. I hung up.

I called the number back, and its asks for my 16 digit Capital One account number, I held the line and let the recording repeat over and over the same thing, finally I was told that my call was being transferred.  I spoke with a rep and explained to him that they call me 3 times a day and that I don't have a Capital One account He explained how sorry he was, asked me for my phone number so he can take my number off the calling list and assured me I won't be called again.

I'm getting 'em too. I have a Credit Card with capital one, but have not been contacted about any issues from them other than these phone calls, which happen 3 or 4 calls within maybe 3 minutes daily. It's irritating.

i just got a brand new cell phone not even 4 days ago and ive been getting calls from these people at least 4 times a day asking for some one named Kathryn. its to the point im thinking of getting my cell number changed or answering with "--- county police department" or acting like im some attorney's office or something

I am getting at least 10 to 15 calls from this number daily. This is total harassment, & wish to have them stopped ?

Don't have a Cap1 card. But they keep calling any way, I just let the answering machine get it.

This is definitely Capital One and its definitely a collection call.   They called me upwards of 5 times a day.  I am the right person, although they didn't know that for sure, and I continued to tell them they had the wrong number, but persistant they are.  I finally realized that the only way to stop the calls, is to pay the debt.  I paid, the calls stop and now I am happily ever after

I googled this # since they keep calling me several times a day- even on Sundays! They call my home phone AND cell phone- the problem is that I don't have a Capitol One account (and NEVER will after all this crap) I keep telling them it's the wrong number, at least when someone is actually on there, and yet they still call. I looked on the Better Business Bureau website and the number comes up as Signet MastercardVisa @ 11013 West Broad St, Glen Allen, VA 23060 (2 complaints are listed in the past 36 mo- one unresolved bcuz the 'company cannot be located'- great, huh?). I know I don't have a Signet card (I assume it's associated with Capitol One). I have family that has Capitol One accounts and they've had nothing but problems with them, but I don't know why they are calling me!?!

They call 2-3 times a day on my cell and won't stop; I am a younger person of 16 and eventually yelled at them on the phone to stop and they said; "No" and yelled back...odd yes, very odd. I am just getting my number changed

I just received a phone call from this number.  The caller said she was from Capital One Fraud Department.  She was verifying charges I made recently.  I verified all but one, which she said was denied a week ago because the attempted purchase was in AZ and I live in WI.  I think this is a real number, not a fraud.  Anyone else have any insight?  She said she was issuing a new credit card with a new number.  I have no reason to disbelieve this.

I too recieve many calls from this number.  If it is the collections department from Captial one I sure wish they would leave a message.

This number was real - it was Capital One Fraud Department.  They did catch one fraud payment and one payment wasn't stopped.  This was a real number.  They fixed the fraudulent charges and credited my account.

i keep getting this call from this number. it rings once and it happens 3 or 4 times a day. It's been happening for over a month!!!!!!! it's a capital one number and i get annoyed because i don't have a captial one credit card.

Oh so it's Capitol One! Capitol One has our address and yet they do NOT send any correspondence about late payments. Instead for over 2 months they call ten times a day and we don't answer, get a grip people just send the paperwork. I won't speak to them because they are abrupt, insistant and arrogant. As if they never owed anyone money in their lives. Also the callers are mostly from call centers in other parts of the world and half the time I cannot understand them. Stick with the written word Capitol One, would ya? Perhaps you could also stop trying to be clandestine and have the company's name show up on the caller I.D..

i started getting phone calls from my cell with this #1800-955-6600, no one answers, i really need them to quit calling me, it's annoying.

Capital One called to verify identity information cause I applied for a card with them.

I call back now and it is an automated machine telling me my credit balance and available credit.  Both of which were correct, so it should be legit Capital One.
