- Annoyed| 5 repliesAnother call from Frank McDermott at Ext. 157 about a "job" and how his boss has reviewed my resume and wants to interview me! No auspicious company that I know of leaves an 800 number and no details about the "job." I also read this is a Scientology group - STEER CLEAR.
- Caller: Frank McDermott
- Call type: Telemarketer
- A.V replies to AnnoyedSamething, a number was left on my caller I.D. 949-253-8500 , from Frank McDermott ext. 157 asking me to call the Lawler group or R.A. Lawler. Seems that the call originates from Southern California Irvine area. (949)
- BellI have also received a call for a "job" from Mr. McDermit or however your spell his name, ext. 157 at 800-969-6051.
- Caller: The Water Group/R.A. Lawler (or Lauder?)
- Annoyed Too replies to AnnoyedI received the same type of message as described below from "Annoyed". I think this is some kind of scam. Beware.
- One who knows| 3 repliesFYI--I work for the Lotter Group--No one who works with us is asked to recruit, give names of friends and family, or pay any money to us. Come for an interview and you will have this verified. We are not like the WFGs and Primericas and other MLMs of the world who give financial services a bad name--recruiting any warm body to just see who sticks. We are actually quite picky about who we bring on board--averages about 1 in 30 that we meet with. AND we do find your resumes on Monster and review them before calling. BTW the "boiler room" is 4 people" half of which are setting appointments for our sales associates to help them be successful. Don't assume everyone is a crook and be careful who you accuse of being a pyramid scheme. There are some good honest groups out there.
- itsuzqt replies to Annoyed| 2 replieswell well. I just got that SAME call today. Mr. Frank McDermott. What a shame. you know with people looking for work so hard out there and for this kind of crap to happen really bites. I scheduled an interview but now I'm not going. Too bad. this turkey should be reported. The lady he set me up to "interview" with goes by the name Lisa Brumfield. What a FARCE!
- itsuzqt replies to One who knows| 1 replyFor the one that works for the Lotter Group. Would you mind terribly to e-mail me? Itsuzqt@yahoo.com. I'd like to talk to you.

- Working for Lotter| 2 repliesI was out of work for over a year and actively searching... After talking to one of my friends that I know does well with his job, exactly what he does, he told me about The Lotter Group. I went to an interview, met Lisa Blumfield, and it's actually an exciting opportunity. I've now been with the company for over a month and am loving it! One thing that I love about this particular company is that they supply you with all the leads you need, and DO NOT ASK YOU FOR THE NAMES AND NUMBERS OF YOUR FRIENDS AND/OR FAMILY, OR ask that you find people to work under you like a multi-level-marketing (or pyramid) company does. This is neither. It's a reputable company that's been in business almost 20 years, so if you get a call for a job opportunity, you should do your due diligence and check it out. The end.

- a confused teacherI just got a call from this number, but I'm a teacher. They had much of my personal information (including my mother's birthdate!), but I have no recollection of ever contacting them. The person calling said that they wanted to meet with me to discuss retirement. I asked if they were representing my finance company, and he said no, that they were just going to give me "unbiased advice." When I asked how the heck his company made any money, he was evasive. When he asked for my gross income last year, I became suspicious. I asked for his number, and told him I was going to check if anyone I knew had dealt with the Lotter Group. He acted as if I was being ridiculous, which made me even more leery.
Perhaps he/they is/are reputable, but I really didn't like the way I was cold called. I certainly am not comfortable with giving out personal and financial information over the phone. Really unpleasant feeling I'm left with.- Caller: The Lotter Group
- Mr BG replies to Working for LotterAre you still working for the Lotter Group and are you still happy with the company and the job?
I am scheduled to interview with lisa tomorrow. - Looking in SFI just received a VM from a woman, who identified herself as Jazmine, and stated that the CEO of RA Lotter wanted to speak with me. I found it strange that the only phone number left was 800-969-6051 EXT 133. I found it quite unsettling that no further details of the position were described, and Jazmine did not divulge as to how she received my resume since I never applied for this company.
- Caller: RA Lotter
- roBOMG..Jazzmine called my wife too. How do I research this bogus company?. Do they access all resumes @ monster.com?..800-969-6051 EXACTLY the same..scary!
- Caller: R A Lauder

- TiaI received a call today from a man who identified himself as "Joey" and said that the CEO, Lisa Brumfield, had reviewed my resume and to call back to 800-969-6051 ext. 152 about a job opportunity. No mention of what the job was or where they are located and my caller ID captured the number as 949-253-8500 which is the only reason I was able to figure out that it was someone from the Lotter Group in Newport Beach, CA. I do not live anywhere near Southern California and you would think if it was a legitimate job offer they would pay attention to what state a person lives in when reviewing the resume.
@roB, anyone who registers with Monster.com as an employer can view the resumes at the site and get your contact info. That is why Monster warns people to be careful about job offers because of scams.- Caller: The Lotter Group
- scott replies to One who knowsI also just received vm . To the "One who knows", this guys is hurting your Lotter Group reputation so I suggest you do some investigation and put a stop to his calls before it gets worse.
- MCarlotta replies to itsuzqt| 1 replyThis is not a farce in any way. I have known these people for years. This is an extremely reputable company, reputable people and known in Orange County. Just thought I would set the record straight.
- Be careful out there....Same pattern as others - initial telephone call inviting me to interview for a job but no specs. Their office location is several hours away from my residence. New initial contact name - Csilla
.
Decided to speak to Lisa Brumfield on the telephone (no harm / no foul). She was surprised that 'current' questionable comments are still on the web about her organization. After I told her that the pattern has continued since early 2009 she kinda fumbled around on responding back to my concerns about The Lotter Group. She asked for my current income which I declined to state over the telephone. I again asked what are the job specs but all I got was the title of the position and nothing more.
Telephone interview went downhill from there which I expected - call ended with no need to pursue this opportunity (whatever it was).
