I keep getting phone calls from these people they are calling not only a unlisted number but also the computer data line & fax line all at the same time! I have no idea who this person is that they are trying to contact I have told them that when I answered phone stayed on line to talk to a real person; surprising it does happen occasionally. But if I have been gone when they make their "daily" calls they never leave a msg on answering machine but you know it is them since they always call from the same number. They always call about the same time each day. It is very annoying. I too am on do not call list & as I previously stated have unlisted numbers. If they continue I will be contacting my lawyer and filing for an injunction to get it stopped permanently.

i am a minor as well and i have asked them to stop callin me adn put me on the no call list 6 times and they have still failed to do so. i called them back and asked what the hell they wanted and the lady got bitchy on me and now wont even answer my calls she answers and then hangs up. some kind of bussiness they r running. and your right. by law they are not allowed to call us once they know that we r minors.

They call and ask if I know a Lois....evidently she lives in the same town as me and has the same last name.  They appear to be a debt collection company.

Got a call from this number today on my cell.  I rejected the number and did not even waste my minutes to answer it.

Just got a call from this number asking if I knew someone named Rebecca.  I don't.  I am assuming it to be someone in my neighborhood.  
The rest of the message was so garbled I could not understand it.

This number calls me two to three times a day, and never leave clear messages. I have explained to her I am not a minor but know no one under the name they insist on speaking to. Unfortunately I have no lawyer and dont have time to waste on getting this stopped. I just have this number saved in my phone under contacts so I know not to answer.

These guys want to steal your credit card information. Stay clear

They can STEAL my credit card information as I haven't worked in almost four years and all my cards have been closed due to non payment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe They'll feel sorry for me and give me theirs!!!!!!!!
As I don't answer any 800 numbers, a message is never left.

Debt collector harassment can be stopped by getting an attorney at no charge to you.  They get paid by winning your case.  Take pictures of every call that comes in.  File a complaint with the FTC @ ftc.gov and your state attorney general's office.  It doesn't matter if you owe any debt or not and are just being cold called.  Sue them!

I get calls from over 15 collectors asking for someone else--months and months and months of calls all day long.  I sent certified cease and desist letters.  I took photographs of the calls, got an attorney, notified the ftc., the calls continue.  People need to get fed up enough and call their Congressman or e-mail their Congressman to do something about this, what I call, domestic terrorism.  The only thing that stops these calls is disconnecting the phone wire.  I have read online where some people who have settled with debt collectors found charges on their bank accounts from unknown sources months later.  Don't talk to these collectors, period.  If you owe money, talk to the original creditor.

You are EXACTLY right! People need to quit complaining and DO SOMETHING about this! And it is Domestic Terrorism. I have been getting calls from "debt collection agencies" for five years since my information was stolen from a Pay Day Loan website, and I have investigated each one. Unfortunately, the illegal ones are, of course, impossible to sue and/or even find. I found one operating in Jacksonville, FL, even Google-mapped their location so I could ask them how Ruby's Diner was for lunch to freak them out. I detest nothing more than these kinds of people being alive in this world and allowed to run around extorting money out of hard working Americans. These are the lowest forms of life; trying to steal the food out of your family's mouths, the roof over their heads, just to fill their CRACK PIPES. I will leave you with something Einstein once said: "The world is not a dangerous place because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it". Once again, BRAVO to you for all the work you're doing to try to help stop this SH*T. And, as you mentioned, NEVER GIVE YOUR BANK INFO TO ANY debt collector, legal or otherwise. I heard Portfolio Recovery is very well known for draining your bank account; I paid them on time every month and each time they'd call BEGGING me to "make it easy" and give my debit card number.; because I paid via Money Order. Nice try, f*ckers.

This company calls my job asking for me but won't wait for me to get to the phone. Leaves a message with my co-work with this phone number and an extension but with a different company name. The name of the company he left was " Hudson Accept". And get this the calling party left the contact name of "Mr. Flake".

File a complaint with your state atty general. They keep calling me everyday too and I am sick of it. Once you file the complaint, they are given 20 days to respond to the atty gen.'s office. That usually puts a stop to it.

stating that I owe a bill from 2008 and they sent bills and I have never gotten anything from them
