Call came at 4:51 P.M. to a Cell Phone.

called my cell phone repeatedly on Saturday and Sunday.
Called them from a blocked landline, it's Citicards.

This is Macy's. They call all day long. I have asked them to communicate
with me by mail and they still call. They even ask you wait on hold to
speak with them. Macy's you suck.

Keep calling my work phone but refuse to indentify itself.

Yep, it's Macy's Collections. We filed for Chapter 7 and they still called a lot! Bad newz, law breakers. They're not allowed to do this, but continue to do so.

i'm receiving repeated calls and even tho they say they are from macys or bloomingdales, this is a fraudulent call.  i had been receiving similar calls from 727-556-7300 and one other 727 exchange for months fishing for account numbers and information.  i reported the number to macys and my cell phone company.  at&t said they can't block this incoming call.  just got off the phone with macys and they will get back to me once they research the issue.  DO NOT give out your account number to these people!

they have been calling me at 5:00 or 6:00 am everyday including Sat and Sun.  It' aweful!

For the last week I've been getting calls from this number. No one ever leaves a message. I don't answer b/c I know it's not from anyone I know. They are quite obnoxious. Sometimes calling four-five times a day, and on the weekends.

umm... yea. all i had to do was pay my bill and they stopped calling. i had forgotten that i even HAD a macy's card. the company calling is Citicards and they're calling regarding whatever Macy's account is linked to that number. it's no big. just pay your bill or tell them they've got the wrong number and you're good :).

they call all the time at blatantly inconvenient times (early in the morning / dinner time / late at night). There's no way in hell I'm going to reward this sort of behavior.

It's a legitimate call if you're behind on payments. This company is Citicards, and they are calling on behalf of Macy's and Bloomingdales. I was behind on mine, and in order to stop these harrassing phone calls, all I had to do was pay my bill.

If they have a wrong number, telling them that they have the have the wrong number won't do anything. Supposedly, collectors are trained to keep calling until they get in touch with the person they're looking for, and since your number is the last one they have on file, they will continue to call. To have them not call you anymore, send them a certified letter in the mail asking to cease calls in the future. They are required by law to comply once they have received this written request, otherwise you can complain to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) for violating collection rules, and they could be prosecuted.

They have been calling me last 3 months. I guess they call Macy's. I ran credit check and I do not see any goof up there. I do not know how I go about reporting this to police. God save all those who are the victims (including myself). They are doing a crime by harassing genuine and "by the rule" folks like us...

I also ran my credit check (all 3) and I do not see any a/c opened with Macy, or Bloomindale. Can someone suggest the next course of action? I feel like calling 911 every time the call comes and planning to disconnect all my phones...

I've been getting calls from this number for a few days now and no one ever leaves a message. its flip'N annoying. I NEVER answer bcuz I know it's not  anyone I know. They are seriously draining my cell battery.ugh!

Keep getting calls from (800) 989-6229.  Don't know who these stupid people are but like the others above they have been calling non-stop throughout the day and on weekends but when I answer there's an automated message that says please hold and then it hangs up on me! The calls would come in non-stop for a month and then automatically stop for a few months and then start up again.  Sometimes it's just a beep and then it disconnects. Very annoying! Sometimes they even call my work number and same thing happens...no one is on the line and it hangs up after one ring! WTF??? I know just ignore the calls when I see the number pop up.  I'm not going to waste my time with these [***]. And if it's Macy's I don't even have an account with them!

They called, I have never had a Macy's card and my phone is a trac-phone, now I get 10 calls a day from there collection company number 727-556-7300
